The length of time. Again, compared to industry averages (and ignoring the circumstances that have resulted in it taking 5 years to make a sequel).
I’m not sure this needs further explaining.
It was five years between Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade. It was 27 years between Return of the Jedi and Phantom Menace. There was 6 years between the Two Doctor Strange movies. 5 years between Ragnarok and Love and Thunder. 7 years between Endgame and Doomsday.pretending that, mind you not a 5 but an almost 6 year gap is not insane, is crazy.

Your use of insane, which means shocking or outrageous, is incorrect. Especially as there was a literal work stoppage in the middle of this and we know there are issues happening in the creator's life. Oh, and a whole ass TV show.

Was the space between Indy and Strange sequels insane? How about between SPECTRE and No Time to Die?The only comparable examples are Indiana Jones and Doctor Strange imo.
Return of the Jedi - end of a trilogy
Avengers - Age of Ultron - Infinity War - Endgame were all 3 years or less.
Thor - again, end of a trilogy
I’m well aware of the circumstances that led to the delays, as any board member who frequents this corner of the Hype would be.
The movie was delayed because of numerous (and unexpected) circumstances.
5 years is a long time between sequels.
Both of these things can be true. Both are observations.
Again, I’m not sitting here screaming for Reeves’ head or pounding my desk in anger because it has taken as long as it has. I’d rather he take whatever time he needs to take care of himself because I’m not a heartless b******.
But you continue your pointless vendetta against my comment! You’re doing the Lord’s work!![]()
90% sure based on what?i am about 90% sure the timeline of this film shifted months ago, there is no way this is gonna pick up right after penguin.
I like how I’ve basically said the same thing, but you’re still hung up on the word “insane”.Would I love for the movie to already be out? Yes. But what I want is Reeves story continued. I don't want content for the sake of content.

none of the movies you mentioned had entered development as soon as TB II in those gaps, and they weren't planned, this is just obtuse lolIt was five years between Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade. Yeah. If some are okay with a 5 year gap - that's totally cool. I find myself less bothered by it. But the examples people have used to explain how normal it is, aren't really fair equivalents.none of the movies you mentioned had entered development as soon as TB II in those gaps, and they weren't planned, this is just obtuse lol
I feel like any news about Batman would instantly steal the headlines coming out of CinemaCon for DC. Whereas they’ll want all the talk to be about Superman.Cinema Con in 1 hour. The Batman 2 news from James Gunn i hope.

The heiarchy of DC changed.i am about 90% sure the timeline of this film shifted months ago, there is no way this is gonna pick up right after penguin.

It's nearly a 6 year wait, honestly.I like to think I've gotten more patient over the years, and I'm certainly trying to be understanding of Reeves' personal circumstances. But a five-year wait is a lot for me, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't affect my enthusiasm a bit.
When did each of those movies go into development?none of the movies you mentioned had entered development as soon as TB II in those gaps, and they weren't planned, this is just obtuse lol
