When are you going to get mugged? :(
If I'm into it, I sometimes miss Phantasm.
But I'll never, ever miss Brillo-Pad.*confused shrug*

lol, yeah. I wanted to talk with her about The Time Traveler's Wife. :o

For serious. :( I wish the author Audrey chick wrote like, 100 more pages. It ended on such a random down. :( The conversation would prolly be three minutes followed by eternal awkward internets silence.

She misses me, of course. I'm now in Krakow, Poland. Nice city.

We went to Auswich today. We couldn't find the concentration camp, got insanely lost, and got directions back to the train station cause it was too late in the day to see the place AND get back to our hostel. Then on our way back to the station, we discovered the place is just a five minute walk from the station. Now I'm relaxing at the hostel, using free internet.

FREE INTERNET?!

My opinion of Prague improved far more. Went to a far less touristy part and saw some cool stuff.

Elaborate. what made this part of Prague better? Fewer tourists...better food?

Will we be getting pictures upon your return?

We spent two seperate days sightseeing Prague. The first day, we went to check out the castle, that mean't to be "the biggest castle in the world" or something. So on the way there, there are cool buildings, cool streets, all that stuff you expect from a European city. The castle was so big, you couldn't even tell it was a castle. It was more like a town, or a city than a castle. The only hint that it was a castle was the castle like walls here and there. The bridge over we walked on was very nice. A number of different, talented buskers playing music. Including a classic ragtime band, with a banjo and stuff. Lots of guys doing portraits there too. So it's definately worth visiting that part of the city. But... it felt very... fake. It's the best way to describe it. Sure, the streets are cool. But you kept seeing the same shops, over and over again, all catered towards tourists. Camera shops, money exchange shops, novelty t-shirt shops (all selling the same t-shirts too), souviner shops. It didn't feel like a real city, more a shell of a city that was now just a money making machine. Seriously, you'd se a camera shop, souviner shop, t-shirt shop, and then see the same shops 5 seconds later, and again, and again. And how many McDonalds does one city need?? Not to mention that everything was overpriced. The part of Prague we were staying in was dirty and sleazy, so that lowered our opinion.

The second day was far better. We just went walking about, we were trying to find this big famous clock. We found a big sort of town square kind of thing, with really nice buildings, the clock, and all these stands selling REAL stuff. They had the coolest stuff. One was selling swords and armour, another selling cool string puppets, and alot of other cool junk. REAL shops. The streets in this part of town were just as nice looking as the streets from the previous day, but they didn't have all the ridiculous touristy-ness. Then we went to a kick ass Irish pub. There have been Irish pubs in every city, but this one was the best. And only for the incredibly hot waitresses. I would say you see alot more hot girls when you travel.

Yes, there are plenty of pictures of me.

It wasn't that badly overpriced. It's just that we had to pay a little bit more, and we got a heck of a lot less. I'll put it this way - the place used to be a prison, and you could tell. An entire floor had to share one bathroom and shower. We stupidly payed for 3 nights right away. We should have just payed for the first night, as we saw a poster of another hostel that looked kickass, providing clean looking rooms, a pub, free net, and other stuff.

I love hostels. You get to meet so many nice people, and from all over the world.

Good, thanks for the review, hmm I almost don't want to go now. :csad: I'll do some more research,if I do some excursions outside of Prague I should be good. I'm not really a city person, especially if it's all touristy.

Agreed.

Where have you been travelling?

One thing that was good about Prague was this toy museum we visited. Lots of old toys, fairly recent toys, some very very interesting stuff. I enjoyed the slightly racist toys, and the very sexist toys. It's like they were trying to brainwash girls into being housewives and bimbos. I guess it's still kinda like that.

If you want an experience while travelling and a break from the large, busy cities let me recommend a place to you. In Slovakia, got to a place called Zilina. A train should take you there. From Zilina, get a bus to either Chatna Vratna, Turchova, or Stefanova. I stayed in a lovely cabin in Stefanova. These places are up in the mountains. They're beautiful, amazing mountains. So calm and peaceful up there too. We stayed there longer than anywhere else. We went walking up the mountain, taking lots of pics, getting to the peak, it was great. The restaurants were nice. Things are so incredibly cheap in Slovakia, you can eat like a king and easily afford it. That great, kickass mountain has probably been my highlight of the whole trip.

So all this traveling and not one girl story.

He still pines for Vicki.

Wasn't he in Amsterdam? I'm sure he could have found a girl who looked remotely like Vicki and quite affordable.
