Michelle on Heath

http://www.marieclaire.co.uk/news/celebrity/197722/michelle-s-heath-interview.html

Mr. Caine said: I remember saying to him, ‘I’m too old to have the bloody energy to play that part.’ And I thought to myself, I didn’t have the energy when I was his age.”
Mr. Pfister, the cinematographer, said Mr. Ledger seemed “like he was busting blood vessels in his head,” he was so intense. “It was like a séance, where the medium takes on another person and then is so completely drained.”

Heath said: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKa-aDga1fE

If you think about that he put all his energy in THE JOKER, oh my god!!!
R.I.P. Heath, you will blow us away!!!
I think only THE JOKER role was able to let him show all his talent, i`m sure it will be a milestone in film history.

Isn't this a Heath thread? hmmm

geez...

he looks like Barry Gibb here...

for u youngins, lol thats a member of The BeeGees.

hm...on a small rant, i always thought if they did a movie on them or Andy Gibb, Heath would make a good Andy, then it dawns both passed do to drug related, but Andy was over dose/suicide IMO and heath was accidental.

still wierd.

Thank you, while I was maniping this photo, I was trying to figure out who he looked like, because this is such a different look for him. It was taken for a photoshoot for the Bob Dylan "I'm not there" film, but I kept thinking he looks a bit like Jim Morrison, when he had a beard, then I was like no more like Val Kilmer playing Jim Morrison. haha Anyway, you hit the nail on the head, he looks alot like Barry Gibb.

^fo sho man.

yeah its funny, when i first saw heath in knights tale i thought he looked like Andy Gibb and my mom is a HUGE BeeGees fan as am i and we kinda alyways thought if they did a bio piece it'd be him..but yeah lol Barry Gibb too...

I know it's sad, for both of them. But yes Heath could have easily played Andy, in his younger years. Heath aged quickly, IMO, I remember seeing some pictures of him, I think they were back in November, and he just seemed older and worn down. Probably from not getting much sleep. It's just really sad that Heath and Andy lost their lives at such a young age.

yeah i was just about to add that point, like geez if u look at the leaked pics back last april when they shot the robbery it was good ol heath, and when they wrapped, he looked so exhausted, now im still not nor will ever blame Joker for heaths state because he emphatically said it was one of his best times and freeing roles of his life, just i think personal demons got the best of the man, as did andy, andy had just devorced vistoria principle not to long before he died if i remeber right, and heath had separated with michele...

*sigh* young men breakin their hearts over the opposite sex is tragedy in itself,

God rest em both

Ya I know, weird how that happens :csad:

I love "Candy". Heath is so moving in that film, what an incredible actor. I couldn't dream of a better person to play the Joker.

yeah i just got through watching it as well for the 50th time that and Casanova

I personally see it as a pretty poor, light hearted film saved only by Oliver platts performance.

I thought you were told by a mod to stay out of this thread?Hahahaha. Good one.

He was put on probation for his antics. Good to see he learned his lesson.

Of course, I'm not allowed to mock him, either. The mods are m33n. :csad:

I haven't been here in the last couple months so I'm really out of the loop.

I went to this thread first though, b/c Heath was my special guy, before he was even cast as the Joker....

Anyway, anyone knows where the premiere will be? Is it going to be in Chicago?

Thanks.

ledger... speechless. legendary. his joker makes my blood run cold. its perfect. hes in my head messing with me already... under my skin..

i bow down cos this is the dark scary and dangerous joker i waited my whole life to see.

I gotta bump this quote. I love it.

wow after reading the new times Joker doesnt just kill u he kills ur whole family

I believe that the level of dedication Heath put into the Joker role is unfortunately rarely seen anymore in movies nowadays. Comic book roles of course but also just any role in general.
IMO it's more akin to the great method actors of the seventies, think De Niro in "Taxi Driver" or Pacino in "Dog Day afternoon".
No wonder Daniel Day Lewis dedicated his award to Heath, they are from the same family of actors who give or, unfortunately in the case of Heath, gave everything to a role.

You forgot Bale in "The Machinist" and "Batman Begins" (his weight and muscle building) among other films. Even Christopher Reeve who was skinny before he became Superman.

Angeloz

I didn't forget anyone because I didn't make a list. I was just stating that it was rarely seen nowadays but certainly didn't say that Heath was the only one.
