The thing that still makes me stop and think is the fact that he won't be around come July to receive the glory he deserves.

I didn't forget anyone because I didn't make a list. I was just stating that it was rarely seen nowadays but certainly didn't say that Heath was the only one.
It's rarely seen in any era, period. It's just not a popular form of acting, mainly because it's not necessary to pull off a good performance.

Mr. Pfister, the cinematographer, said Mr. Ledger seemed “like he was busting blood vessels in his head,” he was so intense. “It was like a séance, where the medium takes on another person and then is so completely drained.”

If you think about that he put all his energy in THE JOKER, oh my god!!!
R.I.P. Heath, you will blow us away!!!
Thanks for the youtube link.
I enjoy it immensly when actors talk about thier part. Like how it made them feel, the different habits they took up when playing the character, how others reacted to him.
It really sucks because he couldn't reveal much of anything about how he played his character.
I'd would've loved to just listen to him talk about it.

I was expecting you to tell me the anecdote of Laurence Olivier vs Dustin Hofman in "Marathon Man":cwink:. I personaly don't care how an actor gets to where he needs to be for a part as long as it's on the screen. I agree with you though and I also think that method when it's pushed to its extremes can become a bit ridiculous and also probably dangerous. But I love that Heath locked himself up in that hotel room and tryed to get into a mad man 's head for our entertainment. It looks like he didn't just slap on the make-up and go through the motions like some lesser actor could have done. He showed respect and dedication rarely seen specially for a summer blockbuster, I am not saying it's the only way to go for every performance just that as a result of Heath intense contribution, we'll probably get something very special and unique.

I think about this a lot also, GW---I was so looking forward to seeing Heath joining the others at the press conferences and the premieres--he was known for his oddball clothing choices and I just wondered what he was going to wear for this particular one 'cos let's face it, the Joker is extra special! I don't mean to sound flippant about it, talking about the clothing and all, and I'm sorry if this comes across sounding like that, but there were so very many things that I was looking forward to with Heath and this movie coming out that won't come to pass and it continues to make me so sad.

I was wondering how I would feel watching the film now, if I would be sad through the whole thing, but I believe we'll be seeing Joker on the screen and not Heath, and his performance will draw me in and I'll be able to watch it in the spirit in which he intended us to do so...a kick-ass fabulous time all around. At least I hope so. When the film is over, though, it will be a different story...

I can't wait to see what you created for us on the big screen this summer

I want to wish you a Happy Birthday in here too because I admired you that much

Happy 29th Heath! We miss you buddy

Really wish MTV wouldn't block vids outside UK, it's not like they are showing a whole program.

It reads like a nice tribute though, good find :)

esp liked this bit

"I've just got to say thank you to Heath for letting me be a part of his life for that short period of time,"

how moving :(

This is so sad, but moving at the same time. Just tragic.

So the reason i came into this tread was an idea i just had. I was wondering what everyone thought about it. Remember when the SR website was taken over by luthor, I thought it'd be cool if the joker did the same thing, once the site gets updated, i mean hey he's already screwing with everything else for this viral, thought itd be cool if he did the same for the official site. Thoughts?

Man, poor Verne. I know how much Heath's death affected me, I can't imagine being family, a friend or even a co-worker having to go thru it.

So I have been thinking that it would be great if we all showed support for Heath by wearing something when we all go to see TDK on opening day (and you know we ALL are going to see it opening day:cwink:). It would be even better if we could all wear the same exact thing (ribbon, pin, etc).

So let's get some ideas and discussion started. I know that someone over at BOF (yes I know, not many fans of the site around here) suggested a purple arm band or something like that. Let's see what we can think of, vote on and make it happen!

Let's do this for Heath guys (and gals). I think it would be a great tribute to a remarkable man.... :woot::hoboj:

i will be wearing purple...all over. i wwas planning on having a black ribbon on my lapel. a puple armband over a puple overcoat might be a bit pointless but i can always get a darker purple.

shuut, friends of shuut and the two junior shuuts will all be there with carved smiles, suitable attire and each with a tear in his eye. What a grand, beautiful, exhilerating and yet still sad day it shall be. As the title infers...a celebration of what was to be one of the finer craftsman in hollywood. Lets all make it so.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

90% of the world Ledgerbrates. The other 10% lies about it.

i dunno how relevent this is but anyways i recently got a tattoo of my name in graffitti on my arm and when choosing colors i chose the letters to be green and purple with red shading (all joker colors) and i plan on getting a portrait of heaths joker on the same arm i just need to choose an appropriate face pic and im also thinking of getting "Why so serious?" under it

I am too...

It would be cool to make it purple beside wearing the black one. Seeing as purple should show he played Joker. Or maybe the purple arm band as Jett said. Either would be great to honor Heath. :)

just to clarify this is all meant to be in memory of heath. the tat of my name ive been thinking of for years but after i got the outline done and was deciding on colors i watched the trailer like 50 times in a row and said thats it its joker colors lol i dunno ive been up since i wrote this last post last nite and im a lil wired so ya know maybe im talking nonsense but then again im never that serious :cwink:

I hope so, because Heath was a special talent and i hope this performance is so good it immortalises him, i hope people are talking about it 25-40 years later.
