True. My mum is like that. Anything good and it's a 10/10. If I say something is 7/10 she'd say I must have not liked it.But what if you are the type to give out 4/5's and 5/5's like Halloween candy? The more generous you are, the more likely you might think a 3/5 is actually bad.
7/10 means I really liked something. I agree 5 out of 5s have lost their effect among some highly rated reviewers. For example (and I'm a huge Nolan fanboy) some review sites were handing out 5/5s for TDKR even though (for example, Empire Magazine's review) in the actual review some of it was negative. If something is 5/5 that means it is flawless as can be.
