I certainly don't think Marvel is going to go out of its way to offend people so, lets just wait and see.

I know when I watched Bruce Lee fight Chuck Norris I didn't see it as Asian vs White. I saw it as legend vs legend. Just like when we see Luke Cage we shouldn't see him as just black. He is a hero inside first that just happens to be black.

However, according to the folks over at That Hashtag Show, it appears that is about to change as they're hearing about a rumored casting for the role of Danny Rand. One that is sure to be of interest to Game of Thrones fans, as the actor rumored for the role is none other than Finn Jones. Interestingly enough, out of the four Defenders, Jones is probably the least known, and unlike the others, his career has mainly been focused in television, as opposed to a balance between film and television.

No, of course not. But he is in no way a hero who happens to be black. His race plays a major part in the way he was raised, the way he was treated by the law, what happened to him in prison, even the way he operates as a superhero. To say that Luke just happens to be black is disingenuous. If anything Luke is a better hero because he has experienced first hands the way that official channels can fail people and how unjust our justice system can be all because of his race.

I'm cool with it. I just want to know who got cast before Marvel decide to shoot. I know that Marvel are only doing 1 to 2 Netflix shows a year so we won't see Iron Fist debut until next year but it would still be nice to know who's playing him just so that we actually know that Marvel have a plan for Iron Fist.

Most Brit actors can do some kind of American accent and even if his accent was a little off it wouldn't matter as they can pass it off as Danny having been in K'un-Lun for a decade.

Seriously i mean look at charlie cox you wouldn't know he was a brit just by watching DD. Plus I'm sure he had to screen test, they wouldn't have picked him if he wasn't up to standard.

Well Marvel hasn't announced it yet, but all the major outlets are reporting it making it pretty much confirmed. But maybe Marvel not announcing it doesn't make it seem real yet?

I just want to say that this is the best picture I've seen. In most he has very long hair and it was hard to see him visually pulling it off. Visually, he's about Charlie Cox level of comics accurate. Hopefully he's a good cast overall. I haven't been disappointed so far.
