The Wolverine Is orgins still apart of the timeline now?

Yes you can.

Craig is no more different from Brosnan than Brosnan is from Dalton, or Moore is from Connery.

There was never really a strong continuity among the Bond films.

Casino Royale is a definite reboot. It shows him becomming a 00.

There's always that theory that every new actor is a different James Bond...
Dumb theory. And an easily disprovable one.

Moore's dead wife's whose grave he visits at the start of FYEO has the same name as Lazenby's dead wife.

I too hated the adamantium bullet. The alternate memory wipe that's on the DVD is infinitely better than what's in the actual movie, and actually makes the adamantium bullet not as horrible.

Is that scene on youtube? I'd hate having to buy the DVD, just to watch some of the extra stuff.

Origins Wolverine is still part of the timeline. I know they are continuity errors, but I think that Professor X in that film was only an illusion and I tend to disregard emma as the real emma frost but as a girl hat can turn into diamond like the real emma frost.

But I'm wondering how many years after The Last Stand is The Wolverine ? I saw a timeline on some website saying it takes place a year after The Last Stand, but it's gotta be wrong...probably 5 or more. Am I right?

Anyone who's seen The Wolverine, does it acknowledge anything from Origins? Cause First Class ignored it and now seems Days of Future Past is ignoring it.

As far as my personal timeline is concerned, no. I'd try and ignore Last Stand too, but that film has too many important events to ignore.

It doesn't reference anything that happened in Origins. We see flashbacks to WWII and his bone claws, but those are what they are without any reference to Origins.

The events of X3 are referenced in the movie, which is why Logan is where he is at the start of the film.

I don't like it; I prefer to think that X3 never existed.

You can still acknowledge the events happen, and ignore the movie. You don't have to watch it. Just keep in mind what happened and let DOFP try and work it out. If your not happy with x3 chalk it up to a different timeline or something once DOFP drops lol. You could probably watch FC, x1,2, the wolverine and DOFP in a row and it make perfectly fine sense. That what I plan on doing lol.

This film definitely didn't ignore X3 and I really liked that when I was watching The Wolverine! :D

The upcoming films will not make Origins/X3 any better if they are just gonna ignore them or continue retconning things that are really noticable. Good thing, The Wolverine didn't hurt the continuity.

I wanna do that, but things happen in TLS that seem to have an effect on The Wolverine and DOFP

I just watched it, and Origins is referenced

Kayla is mentioned in audio flashbacks

Yes it does... just one line

Near the end, audio flashback to Kayla

I didn't notice that.

is that the
"you're not an animal" quote?

I will pay attention to it when I watch it again!

No i don't think thats included, [BLACKOUT]there a quick "kaaylaa!" by Jackman[/BLACKOUT]

Yes, XMOW is very much part of the timeline in TW. That is, [blackout]until X-DoFP (supposedly) erases its ass[/blackout].

I caught that when I saw it the second time tonight as well. Good catch!

I know most filmmakers keep saying all the X- Men movies are canon but clearly that can't be the case. There are major inconsistencies in the canon, the crap from Origins not mixing with First Class, and First class not mixing well with X1 or X3. As much as I love the movies expect for origins and last stand the timeline needs to be fixed. But for sure Origins should NOT be canon at all. I will never forgive that movie for taking a dump on Deadpool.

There are incosistencies, but those are meant to be overlooked. Every X-movie is canon. Whether each viewer chooses to leave a movie out of his/her X-athon is his/her decision, but the fact is all the movies count, for better or worse.

I'm unclear on things too. What is the timeline currently? I know DOFP is going to retcon X-Men 3 but that's all I know so far.

DoFP is probably going to retcon every movie except XFC and some of X-DoFP itself.

I think so, yes. I mean, they ARE going back to the 70s to stop stuff, and every X-film in the franchsie too place from the 80s on, so...

Unless Bryan has a plan to retcon only XMOW and X3. But that would mean they'd totally retcon TW, as well.
