The Dark Knight Is the hotel from BB (possible spoiler)...

The waiter probably just deposited the check in his own account, Wayne wouldn't notice

Making that bit more than throwaway humor would be clever

... right now we have all this information to groove on from the many many spies of chi-town. but there are none in england or hong kong. so starting next week there will be no new information to draw from. it'll all be blind speculation until a trailer comes out ...

... or those lazy bastards across the pond can get off their lazy asses and get to those sets for scoopage. :oldrazz: :cwink:

I'll just do a halo jump from 30000 feet, then open the chute below radar, cut a hole in the roof, rapel down into the set and avoid detection for a few weeks :oldrazz:

In our defense, there's really nothing we could have got near to, plus London is HUUGE, Chicago is a 1 mile square :cwink:. The one outdoor thing we know about was a completly surrounded private courtyard :csad:

Actually, it's 228.443 Square Miles ... but who's counting. :woot:

And though they did do a lot of filming within 2 miles of each other (which made it perfect for gawking), they did do some filming that was 6, 7, 8 miles out. :cwink:

well i just figured they aren't filming on the streets of london and what not. probably off on some manor or inside buildings where it's kinda obvious if you disguise yourself as a bookshelf or something. i just kinda figured in chicago it's easier to see what's going on. but then again, people film in america all the time and we never see reports like this. i guess batman is just special to americans.

... the same hotel where the penthouse Bruce resides in during TDK while Wayne Manor is being rebuilt located?

First off, sorry if this has been addressed. Just watching BB again and when Bruce buys the hotel after the maitre d' threatens to kick him out, it occured to me that it would be nice in a continunity manner if its the same hotel where Bruce shacks up as rumored in TDK.

Thanks!

good point!

Batman knows no continental boundaries. :woot:

The whole world knows and loves Batman. Same for the Joker.

You know I really got the impression that Bruce never actually bought the hotel. Merely he was being "fresh" with the guy. When it came time to cash the check, I doubt he actually paid for it. Especially considering the fact that he just sat there at the table and filled out the check. How could he have possibly known the price right there at the table? I don't think he will be staying at that hotel...

I think the point is Bruce wouldn't have known the price, but since he's so rich I'm sure he gave them an offer they couldn't refuse.

I find it kind of endearing. Bruce asks Alfred what someone like him does. Alfred replies by saying that they drive sports cars, date movie stars, and buy things that aren't for sale; Bruce has no idea about what to do in normal life so he follows Alfred's advice to the letter all in one scene. Very innocent for a man that dresses as a bat.

I've been thinking about this, and what going through my head is that the building will need some kinda secret exit because it would be very obvious if people see the tumbler exit the garage every night.

Exactly. He'll probably want to depart his batcave from a deep, dark place (in keeping with his bat theme) and unless Gotham has a subway system (because Chicago sure doesn't) maybe he'll come flying out of Lower Wacker? And I guess he'll also need one or two other secret exits in order to keep people from figuring out that he's coming out of Lower Wacker, right?

We don't have a dedicated subway, but quite a few of the El lines run underground.

my guess, there be an abandoned sewer or rail line or something

My guess is that it's a movie and they can make the exit anything they want.
you don't have to have an actual abandoned subway line in Chicago for there to be one in Gotham. they could have the Tumbler exiting something built on a soundstage and piece it in.

yeah I meant within the context of the movie, not that it's really there
