The Dark Knight Is the hotel from BB (possible spoiler)...

i think it might be. in Begins, Alfred tells Bruce that "people like him" "drive sports cars, date movie stars, buy things that are not for sale"

so when Bruce buys the hotel in Begins, he's just following Alfred's advice. but because Nolan doesnt think in terms of sequels, he didnt think anything else of it..now, since Wayne Manor is still under construction, Nolan remembered "oh yeah, Bruce bought a hotel" and ta da! instant bachelor pad

yeah that would be cool if they actually followed continuity... Nolan is a fantastic director, and a bloody genius-- I would really be surprised if it were anywhere else...

Of course You would

It's only obvious I would, indeed. Since we do not know for sure, but there are good theories there that might as well legitimize it. And if this post is making no sense, i blame the jetlag.

Excuses excuses... tut tut

I don't see why a guy who owns a hotel would have a penthouse in someone elses hotel

Exactly. But then again he is "Bruce", so he might have been playing that playboy role pretty good(even made it in the newspapers) and might have actually bought yet another hotel. And a Toys R us.

Penthouses are often not in hotels at all. They are just top floor apartments. So while it could easily be in a hotel, it could just be an apartment in one of the ritzy parts of Gotham. He may have owned it all along.

But I agree that it would be cool if it were in that hotel he bought.

... the same hotel where the penthouse Bruce resides in during TDK while Wayne Manor is being rebuilt located?

First off, sorry if this has been addressed. Just watching BB again and when Bruce buys the hotel after the maitre d' threatens to kick him out, it occured to me that it would be nice in a continunity manner if its the same hotel where Bruce shacks up as rumored in TDK.

Thanks!
That would indeed make sense.
Let's wait and see.

Its possible.

I was gonna make a thread on it, but the swagger levels of Bruce Wayne were incredible to pull something like that off. I mean he rolls up to a semi-formal dinner with the board of Wayne Enterprises and there wives in a F-50 with not onen but two European Coke ****es, lets them frolick with each other in the fountain of the restraunt and then proceeds to buy some prestigious five star Hotel that probably had teflon owners and boardmembers like its nothing.:wow:
Lemme find out he used that same hotel as the temporary headquarters for Batman and this dude has got the pimp king swagger like no other hero.:woot:

Sorry if this was mentioned already:
But during filming, they did some "Penthouse" shooting at the top of "Hotel 71." And the Party Scenes that Joker crashes was filmed in the lobby of the Hyatt. They redid the lobby area with a huge staircase and bookshelves to nice it up.

Now, these two locales may be part of the same living area Bruce is hanging around these days. But I'm not sure if this is the place he bought in BB ... just sharing more info. :word:

i don't know. here's something interesting though. right now we have all this information to groove on from the many many spies of chi-town. but there are none in england or hong kong. so starting next week there will be no new information to draw from. it'll all be blind speculation until a trailer comes out. is everyone ready for that? more bickering. even more crying about joker's make-up than normal, due to lack of new info. it'll be chaos!

how right you were sir.

He didn't really buy it, did he? Just slipped the guy a nice wad so as not to make a fuss. I mean no matter how rich you are, you still have to go through a certain process in order to buy a hotel...

Was this the Hyatt next to McCormick Place or the one downton just before Michigan Ave or the on Michigan Ave (Park Hyatt)?

The Park Hyatt just before the Borders Store is nice, great interior. Im guessing the south river one is the one with 2 buildngs. Make sense since its bigger, although I would have used the Park one for better interior design.

Sorry I work for Media company that does a lot of stuff for hotels and I know Hyatts so I was just curious lol

But I guess that gave them more room to change it however they wanted ... which they did BIG time.

Yeah the bigger Hyatt just before Michigan Ave is massive so I guess they had more room to set up and do things. There ballrooms in particular are massive so I guess thats where they shot the Joker gatecrashing the party.

Now that I think about; the penthouse and the party have to be in the hotel. If you look in the screencaps, Alfred is right there on the side as the Joker shoots up the party.

hmmm I wonder if he pulls a Riddler and finds the garage and blows the Bat stuff up? I mean we've heard the Tumbler gets destroyed hence why he switches to the Bat-Pod.
