... the same hotel where the penthouse Bruce resides in during TDK while Wayne Manor is being rebuilt located?

First off, sorry if this has been addressed. Just watching BB again and when Bruce buys the hotel after the maitre d' threatens to kick him out, it occured to me that it would be nice in a continunity manner if its the same hotel where Bruce shacks up as rumored in TDK.

Thanks!

Wow, never thought of that. You could be right

he did buy it. that would work, but the pictures of the penthouse look way too nice to even be a 5 star hotel.

I thought he was living in the WayneCorp Tower. Where that came from I dunno, if the source is solid

i don't know. here's something interesting though. right now we have all this information to groove on from the many many spies of chi-town. but there are none in england or hong kong. so starting next week there will be no new information to draw from. it'll all be blind speculation until a trailer comes out. is everyone ready for that? more bickering. even more crying about joker's make-up than normal, due to lack of new info. it'll be chaos!

Someone did bring this up before, and it made sense... Batman has to HIDE his layer and everything there and the only way to keep it safe would be if he OWNED the building as well... so it is very well possible, but I have not been able to get it confirmed over the last 2 months now so don't expect the confirmation anytime soon.

i would be damn surprised if the Nolans and Goyer didn't thought of it. it's a nice tie in.

haha I loved that scene

Bruce Wayne such a baller.

I wanna see him buy something big in TDK again.

The Wayne Tower seems more likely. He stayed there in the comics. It's an iconic building people will remember from BB. It visualizes his role as the CEO. Better security than a regular hotel. Easier to hide a massive lair.

well something kinda like that happens. he takes the whole cast of a ballet out on his yacht which forces them to cancel the show. he doesn't give a sh-t. he just wants to party. he's so awesome.

This is also something I considered... so far though me and turtle have not found any confirmation...

wayne corp probably owns a lot of large buildings in gotham though. he could live in any one of them. fix up an old apartment building. make a penthouse. turn the parking garage's bottom floor into a makeshift batcave. or just buy a building and parking garage that is already in use.

I've been thinking about this, and what going through my head is that the building will need some kinda secret exit because it would be very obvious if people see the tumbler exit the garage every night.

yes. it depends. sometimes in a movie you won't even think about things like that. like peter parker using his web in public. or when he displays feats of superhuman ability in public. no one says "oh hey, no sh-t, that guy must be spider-man." logically they would, but it's a movie. i admit seeing the tumbler parking in Garage A every night would be suspicious. but if they don't explain it, maybe it'll be something in the movie you just don't think about while watching. or maybe he has more than one tumbler, and they will be all over the city. i don't know. that's a good point though.

I understand what you mean, dude. It was just one of those things that has been on my mind but I am by no means one of those fans that wants everything explained away to fit in with (here goes) 'Nolan's realism'.

that's good. cuz these aren't things that bother you when you watch a movie. but maybe one day it just hits you and you question it. most movies have those.

If that is the case I want a small scene to go like this.

A business man is in the elevator on his way down to the parking garage on the lower level of the hotel. He yawns and is holding his cup of coffee with briefcase in hand. When he reaches the bottom floor he walks to his car. Parked right next to his car (a hybrid) is the Tumbler taking up 4 car spaces.. Then I want him to mumble "Damn hummers..."

P.S. make the business man Al Gore

heh. while cheesey, i could see that working. because what is cheesier than the line "does it come in black?" and that was awesome.

I'd think that there's some sort of secret passage for the tumbler to exit from that would not reveal where it came from. some alleyway or something a block or so away from the new "Batcave". I'm thinking the route will involve some abandoned part of the subway or sewer system.

The idea that Bruce is living in the hotel he bought is feasible I suppose but not as much as the Wayne building. The extra security and secrecy would be easier to explain as would easy access to the R&D "toys" make life a lot easier for Bruce.

Ah, but you're forgetting the viral marketing, which will probably kick in again before another trailer is released. Also, I'm sure a few details will leak here and there in the months between the end of the Chicago shoot and the trailer/film release.

But yeah, new information will be much harder to come by when they cease to shoot in easily accessible areas.

You know, I'm even surprised that, depsite all of the spy reports and such, we still don't know the greater portion of the plot. Well, I suppose I'm not surprised, but it's funny how much info people have dug up and still there's a lot of mystery surrounding the film.
