This is in a case by case scenario

a 15 yr old having sex with an 18 year might not be so bad even though it may be considered statutary (sp?) rape, incomparison to someone going into a school and mowing down plenty of peeps.

I personally feel that any crime commited towards the elderly is high on my list. They've lived their lives and deserve to piss their pants till they die, in peace.

I just hate when on the news there would be a report about an elderly person having their home broke into and their crap kicked in and their possessions stolen. I've always found that just incredibly sick and low. And the elderly person would be on the news with these big bruises, and tears in their eyes.

I really don't think a person can sink much lower than doing something like that to an elderly person.

This is something I've pondered for a while. I have known people who have suffered it in the past and it completely changes them. They get shut off from the world and their personalities change irrevocably

When someone is murdered, it's horrible for the family and will often be quite painful, but ultimately it's over in an instant. When someone is raped however they have to live with that for the rest of their lives.

The only thing I can think of would be paedophilia, but that's a form of rape in and of itself anyway

Basically it doesn't get any worse than rape in my book.

To those who say 'genocide', just stop, murder already covers it. It's like saying, 'what is worse than killing 1 person . . killing 2 people', and genocide is just multiple murders with a particular motive(hate), but murders have motives too(everything else).

In some cases, rape can be worse than murder, because of the distress it causes that person, which can be like torture for sometimes an unending time. I think anything that steals 'life' from somebody is particularly heinous, whether it be murder of some sort of torture, mental or physical(like rape), the difference is the person who is still alive carries a burden the murdered doesn't, you know, because they can't. Many people gladly end their lives to get out of these tortured existences, that has to say something.

I'd still say murder though, it's just easier to quantify.

There are MANY crimes worse than rape. Not everyone carries the rape experiance on their backs, either. Some people are just like, "Pfft, why should THAT fool hold any power over ME?" and rarely give it a thought.

Murder, pedophilia, pederasty, canniblism, long-term mental or physical abuse, kidnapping and torture are just a short list of worse crimes.
