Or for some reason they havnt even begun to prepare his scenes yet so they havent cast.
I don't know....
Just seems a little odd to me.

But surely you cast a character BEFORE you start filming? I see no reason why not.
Then you clearly do not understand how the movie-making process works.

why would you whait with the casting so late? why would you cast this character so late while already filming?Maybe they don't want to tell us yet, or maybe they haven't cast the role yet. They could be filming any scenes that JJ is not a part of and as soon as they cast him, they'll film the scenes with him. Although Mark Strong had already been cast as Sinestro, he didn't start working on the film until close to the end of Green Lantern's filming.

Sadly, I'm slowly believing that he won't be in it. This reboot may be in the vein of Casino Royale rather than Batman Begins and strip the character down to the bare essentials, making it more of a character-focus story (I know BB focused on Batman, but the supporting cast was still a major addition).
Perhaps the SM reboot with reintroduce the character to audiences (minus an origin) and wait for the sequels to reintroduce the supporting characters (Daily Bugle cast, Norman & Harry Osborn, etc) and allow for the general audience to anticipate sequels even more
Possibly, but I still wouldn't rule out Jameson just yet.Sadly, I'm slowly believing that he won't be in it. Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised if we heard an announcement any day now.Neither would I. As alot of people have already said, they may as well cast him later on
I honestly can't believe people act like they hate this series so much now. When Spiderman first came out, one of the favorites amongst fans was the portrayal of J Jonah Jameson, now he's too cartoony or goofy? C'mon now, if that wasn't JJ ripped straight out of the comics, I don't know what was
I guess that's possible. Still, I just have a feeling JJJ's in the film.Maybe we won't get JJJ in the first film, but in the second. It would be a nice addition to a sequel I think. This film could just have hints at the Daily Bugle's criticism of Spider-Man, but not show the Bugle itself.

Agreed. Speaking of that, What ever happened to the talk of Sam Elliot possibly being cast as JJJ?If he isn't in it and I see the film, perhaps it'll be a good reason why.
Yeah, Sam Elliot was also rumored. But then Elliot commented on the rumors saying he wasn't aware.I highly doubt there's reason to believe JJ isn't in the film just because his casting hasn't been announced yet. Does nobody remember those reports awhile ago about how John Slattery and a few other contenders had done auditions for the role?
