J.K. Simmons IS Commissioner Gordon

Snyder's iterations are like taking Nolan's and physically doubling their sizes. Even Nolan's batsignal looks tiny in comparison. :funny:

Bruce is over his 40s, needs contact lens and a bigger Bat-signal to see properly

I'm so hyped for J.K. Simmons as Comissioner Gordon!

The man doesn't do subtle lol.

People here are seriously looking for a reason to hate Snyder, lol.

Never-mind the fact that Tim Burton's and Joel Schumacher's Bat-Signals were huge.

To be fair, there's no circumstance in which a huge spotlight with a giant metal bat pinned to it is even remotely subtle. One idea I've always loved is that of the symbol oftentimes being mostly a reminder to criminals that Batman is out there.

Except a lot reports claimed that Batman v Superman was going to address the destruction in the first movie and Superman's role in it, and it didn't really.

1. The entire prologue set piece from a shocked human perspective
2. Alfred's whole "turn good men cruel" speech
3. Bat's branding
4. Old man's "he's angry and hunting" speech
4. Bruce's provocation of Clarke about alien burning down the whole city
5. the bomber is a direct victim of the destruction of MOS, and his death resulted in Bruce going over the edge, also his painting of statue lead to "end of love affair" title from Perry White
6. Superman dragging Doomsday out of Metropolis into space
7. Doomsday landing on an "uninhabited" island instead of civilian neighborhood
8. Anderson Cooper's "thankfully downtown is closed and not many people there"

I'll leave it there so we can get back to Gordon :cwink:

I always find it amusing that public money is being spent by Police Department to light-up the Bat-signal. It's like government doing free advertisement for Batman. :o

Don't forget the TV debates and talk-show discussions on "Must there be Superman".

Nice picture of Gordon. Don't get the black and white thing but whatever.

Other than the fact that it's Snyder/Enos' mo, I think it's because the background is still just the green screen here and not the skyline.

On Gordon's look, I love it so much. I kept it to myself when the set report came out but I was afraid he would look too old school/comic booky but thankfully it doesn't.

It was actually a compliment, but keep on fretting. Wouldn't be a DCEU fan without the bias paranoia. 🐸☕️

Hate? I don't want a subtle Bat signal! Kind of defeats the point of it lol.

That pic has to be for the scene that the bloggers saw when they visited the set in London.

Kinda cool, but it looks like they are in Metropolis considering how far away the skyline is.

Batman ***** always looks coolest in a noir setting.
