When exactly did he redeem himself over this situation?
Basically the same way Robert Downey Jr did?

comedy is entirely subjective. that is the point of it. just b/c one person finds something funny or offensive doesn't mean a different person won't have the opposite takeFirst of all, it's not a matter of what's worse. They should be judged separately.
Secondly, "it's just a joke bruh" is a dumb excuse. It's not funny and if you do it over and over again... it becomes even less of a joke.

i wonder how seth mcfarlane feels, he made his entire career on being an edgy jackass, disney is about to own his parent company
No he didn't. That was for a blog. This is twitter. These are two different things. He apologized for those tweets back in 2012.
Back in 2012, Gunn apologized for some blog and FB posts (not tweets) that many thought were over the line. This time it's his tweets that got him in trouble because he decided to throw old tweets at people he was politically beefing with on Twitter and they threw ones from his past that were as bad or even worse than their's. He should have known better and done a cleanup of his accounts so they wouldn't bite him the butt again.comedy is entirely subjective. that is the point of it. just b/c one person finds something funny or offensive doesn't mean a different person won't have the opposite take
gunn shouldn't have been fired for something he's apologized twice for since 2012. if a standard did apply, then he shouldn't have even been hired by marvel to begin with
this is horn trying to virtue signal and capitulating to the twitter mob

It is utterly amazing how people are framing "jokes" about raping children in this thread.comedy is entirely subjective. that is the point of it. just b/c one person finds something funny or offensive doesn't mean a different person won't have the opposite take

Just so I am clear, what exactly did RDJ do? I thought he was an alcoholic and drug user who almost got himself killed. What else did he do?Basically the same way Robert Downey Jr did?

I haven't watched Family Guy in a long time, really like It's Always Sunny. Are you comparing that, to what was written on twitter? A scripted television show is very different from twitter. You want to know why I know? Apparently Gunn was bringing up other people's old tweets to attack them.I gotta assume you are against shows like Family Guy or It's Always Sunny, right?
With a disease? Getting sober is a great thing. That is the example you want to compare this situation to?Well Disney wouldn't want to be associated with that either, right?
I burnt my tongue on an enchilada. Fu**ing Mexicans!
REMINDER: The country's leader is still being condemned about his remarks on women's p*ssies from a private conversation from 13 years ago.

apples and ****ing oranges and you know itREMINDER: The country's leader is still being condemned about his remarks on women's p*ssies from a private conversation from 13 years ago.
Paula Deen was fired from Food Network and lost her business empire for admitting in court that she used a racial slur.
Hulk Hogan was fired from the WWE for using a racial slur multiple times in a private conversation from 10 years ago.
James Gunn deleted thousands of Tweets starting from 11 years ago that included "joking" about raping women and children. He also Tweeted and I quote:
There needs to be consistency, guys. Not different rules for different folks.
I can't believe some of the people defending Gunn. Did you guys read his tweets. How does someone make thousands of jokes about violating children? There was even one tweet where he had a link to a 'manual' written by a paedophile. The police need to investigate him. No one makes that many 'jokes' on just one subject matter
Okay, I'm saying this as a favor to protect you from emotional harm. Steer clear of Anthony Jeselnik's body of work including his Twitter.
They should of gotten rid of her earlier for this.REMINDER: The country's leader is still being condemned about his remarks on women's p*ssies from a private conversation from 13 years ago.

Does he write paedo tweets too?
He work for Disney?Pretty much daily. If not just harming children in other ways. Dead baby jokes, leaving them in hot cars, etc.
He's known for disavowing all comedic boundaries. If he were to draw a line, then he's basically claiming all the other jokes he made were okay to make.
That's what I respect about true shock humor.
