I still play SM2....whenever my nephew comes over we always fire up the good ol' gamecube and have fun swinging around. He's only 5, so I can't let him play any of my xbox 360 games lol. Awesome game!

I used to do that with my nephew and hes a huge spidey fan, its been soo long since but I always let him play it and I still paly it even now that and web of shadows.

Yeah I heard web of shadows is pretty good, I should check it out...actually, I don't think I've played any of the newer spider-man games since ultimate spider-man for gamecube.....geez, I'm way behind lol.

Ultimate Spider-Man was okay but I might have to play it again, it was kind of frustrating to me since I was used to SM2 gp but WOS is good imo I didnt like the fighting style because it could have been built on more but what I liked most and used the web zip move when you far away web on someone and he rushes forward with it to get the enemy I love that,I have some great times with it and always web swinging on there, and also tossing them on the side of the building

When I first played it I didnt know anything about the Ultimate verse I was pretty much like the GA, I mean when I saw GG I thought he was some new monster they made up I knew alittle more about 616 then when it came to Ultimate, but since then I know better I just couldnt stand the person they got to voice Ultimate Peter, every time now when I read USM i hear his nasily voice and then I try to remember Josh's voice to make him sound better since Josh did Ultimate in SD

I'm not sure how we got on the topic of SM video games in the Electro thread but anyway, WoS is good for one thing...the webswinging. The rest is somewhere between meh and downright awful.

My original 60gb PS3 took a dump so I haven't played any PS2 games in awhile. This makes me want to go buy a PS2.

The swinging was 10x better than in the recent Spider-Man game. Felt like the SM1 game again... Wasn't impressed, didn't even finish out the game.

I hate to say it, but I completely disagree. The Batman voice ripoff did nothing for me, and it was just awful. It's a shame that this movie is facing a huge uphill battle, as I really did like the first TASM (not as much as Raimi's SM/SM2), but I liked it. With every turn, set pic, video I see, I just don't care about this at all. Spidey looks great though.

He's a guy who has been a loser his whole life and is getting his first taste of power, what do you want him to sound like? Funny, with every turn, pic, video I see, I care about this even MORE.

No need to apologize, I'm just curious to hear your specific complaints, since we clearly have had the exact opposite reactions to the material released (except the Spidey costume, that is just awesome). My film rankings are as follows: #1 SM 2, #2 TASM, #3 SM 1, #4 SM 3 (a VERY distant fourth).

Jamie Foxx, despite being a great actor, is not an ideal choice for the role. Hell, I don't even think Electro was the best choice of a villain for this movie, not to mention how mediocre the Lizard was. I don't really care for any of the casting, sans Garfield & Stone. The look of him is terrible, and yes, the deep gravely voice is a Bale knockoff. Your opinions of the twist non-withstanding, we had freaking Ben Kingsley, a tiny little british actor put on a deep, commanding voice for ''The Mandarin", and while Foxx is no Kingsely, he could have done something awesome with it. The set photos are just meh, and Giamatti looks to be hamming it up as much as possible as the Rhino (though I wait judgement for the look.) The first one really brought nothing new to the table, though I did like the chemistry between Garfield & Stone (I agree its better than Maguire & Dunst's chemistry was), and was really the high point of the first movie for me. I don't know, it's something off about this movie, I just don't think it looks good, and thats it.

Let me address those complaints point by point. First, it's not a Bale rip off just because YOU say it is (actors have done deep gravely voices before Bale and they will continue to do them long after Bale). Electro is a two-bit thug in the comics, who exactly would be the ideal casting choice for him? Foxx is a great actor who can bring some dimension and complexity to a traditionally one-note character, which is great. He looks like a creepier version of Ultimate Electro, which I like (the 616 costume just looks stupid). How are the set photos meh, I don't get that complaint. We've seen a couple of photos of Giamatti from one scene in the movie that are out of context, so saying that he is hamming it up is very premature (he could be a subdued psycho for most of the film for all we know). Comparing Fox to Kingsley is just pointless since they're completely different actors playing completely different characters. The first one added the mystery of Oscorp and Peter's parents disappearance. Oscorp having a big connections to the Lizard and being the source of all evil in NYC is new. Spiderman not catching Uncle Ben's killer is something new. Gwen being a big part of stopping the Lizard and not just a damsel in distress is something new. The conspiracy is something new, jeez there seems to be quite a lot in TASM that was new to the film series. We've seen less than a minute of actual footage, so saying that something is off about the movie is like saying that Heath Ledger couldn't play the Joker without seeing one second of footage, its VERY premature.
