Foxx definitely wasn't kidding around about the birthday part. Check out what he's holding.

D'aaaaw. It has Spidey on it! He probably made that himself. Poor sap.

In that case, he'll definitely be the most twisted Spidey character ever on film.

EDIT: Though I don't see Spidey on that card?

why does he have a huge gap in his teeth as Max but not Electro...

I get becoming Electro would fix his eye sight, and make him hairless, but how would it fix his teeth?

^I guess only in the set pictures...

so I guess it could still look different in the film, but, why go throw all that make up process just to leave the teeth to CG in post

Edit: I guess it could just be the angle of the shot, but at first glance of the Max photo it looked like they exaggerated the gap in his teeth, but maybe its just normal gap, and it just looks different from that angle

off topic: iron man 3 was awesome. let's hope the tasm2 script is half as polished.

Me thinks somebody's gonna teach Spidey how to say 'Salame!' before this is through.
David Leibe Hart was in love with an insect woman. Max Dillon is in love with an insect man.

I don't know what it is in his hand, except that it says, "Happy B-Day Max"...but to me it looks like an iPad. It looks reflective?

I feel kinda sorry for Max, man...
Everyone forgot his birthday, except Spidey.

Yeah, I'm already feeling sorry for him too... :(

After reading what Foxx said about the origin again and thinking about it, I'm kinda liking what they're doing with Electro now. I think he has the potential to become the best on screen Spidey villain yet, we'll really feel for him in the end I think. I'm digging it.

By the tasm2, i should go from sympathizing with him to hating him. like Dane in chronicle. That would be great.

It's going to take a hell of a lot because Doc Ock, and in some cases...even the original Spidey's Norman Osborn are memorable and amazing characters to this day.

Doc Ock, in my opinion, transcends out of CBM villainy and into cinematic villainy generally speaking. The potential for Dillon is there, but we'll have to see. Like what I've seen so far too!

You're right about Doc Ock, but I never really felt bad on a emotional level for Norman Osborn tbh.

But yeah, Doc Ock was great but by only seeing pics of Dillon and reading the origin story and the whole thing about his birthday and stuff... it's already making me feel sad for him now, so I can't imagine what it'll be in the movie eventually.

Because it's a comic book film. If you can rationalize how electricity powers can fix a person's eyesight, it shouldn't be too far of a stretch too imagine it can alter other physical aspects as well.

Comedians are going to kill Foxx for this role. I can see Kevin Hart getting on him right now.

Foxx still has a better movie career, so I doubt any other comedian would open themselves up to the immediate abuse he'd follow up with.

Wonder if Max will grow so out of control that he'll have to die. I don't see this character simply going to Ravencroft...think he'll bite the dust.

I agree. He seems like a harmless person. Def feel bad. Although I think he will get sent to Ravencroft ;]

He was taking pictures in the sewers, so I guess he's working for the DB now.

If Webb has plans for any type of Sinister Six thing down the line, he won't kill off any of them.

Heck, they could make it like Spectacular Spider-Man and have Norman provide Prison cells to specifically contain super villains.

Firstly it was 'oh poor Doc Ock, the man lost his wife and then his experiment turns against him and tries to control him. But he dies a hero in the end, so he dies a good guy.' Wrong! Doc Ock was a megalomanaic. Then it was Sandman, 'poor guy, he just wanted to rob money for his sick daughter and besides, he also sacrifices himself in the end.' :whatever: Really? I dont know a great deal about Sandman like I do the other villains but I doubt he was all put-upon good-underneath hero. And then they used the Lizard in ASM who legitimatiely IS a sympathetic villain, but they kind of take a fair bit of that away. Although, having one arm kind of makes him sympathetic in the first place. Then you have Electro, a chance to actually create a man who already had a psychosis even before he became Electro, not a good-deep-down, well meaning scientist who gets caught up and instead they make him the put-upon good guy, like we havent seen that before. He looks like a delusional guy, but not a negative guy by any means. Looks like these villains are starting to fade into the background like clones rather than standing out. :whatever:
