Watched the Jamie Foxx interview..."I told my sister I want to the first Black man with a comb over...make me look like I would if I had never made it..." I literally laughed out loud. The more I see of Jamie the more I'm convinced he can bring a great Max/Electro.

Jamie Foxx is one of the funniest actors out there if you ask me. I love watching interviews of him!

I'm not sure Foxx is going to pull it off....I'm more confident that Paul G will however.

If they're [BLACKOUT]bringing back Capt. Stacey[/BLACKOUT] then I don't see why Rhy's can't do a small cameo.

I know, not a lizard thread but it is the villain thread so... here's what I just noticed

the left one is a real-size statue of the head and the one on the right is the digital model made out of the former. what happened to the mouth?? the left one looks a lot better

he has the heart to deliver a great villain role. With Rhys I kinda got the feeling that his performance was kinda... "half-hearted", especially in contrast to Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone

I completely disagree. I think he did the best with what he was given. Rhys is such an underrated actor IMO.

I think Foxx will be great.

Didn't care much for The Lizard either. It seemed like a re-hash of Defoe's performance as Osborn/Goblin.

How? I didn't get that at all from that.

I love Rhys as a choice for Connors(and wished certain deleted scenes were put in the film) and The Lizard is my favorite villain in the comics but in the film I didn't care too much about the film version. It was alright and maybe I will warm up to it more in time but compared to the previous trilogy I'd even say Sandman was a better villain. I hope to see Rhys again.

I hope Foxx surprises us with Electro and goes beyond what we are expecting.

I think Lizard suffered from "origin story-itus." Think of Scarecrow from Batman Begins.

The right one is a selfie duck face for his profile pic, yo.

I liked Rhys in TASM. I found him charismatic before the transformation. As it stands, he's my second favourite on screen Spidey villain. But if those deleted scenes were re-instated, things would be even better. Especially the moment with his son. But on the upside, those scenes do exist, and we've always got them. His plot was simple - make everyone in NYC a lizard, but that is one of the classic Lizard plots. So I didn't have a problem there.

Same here. I loved Connors' motive as well. Felt like something out of the pulps.

I'm starting to see more now why they went with the characterization they did with Max Dillon. I think to make him a gawky looking characters sets him apart from Rhino. (Literally cannot remember how to spell his name.) And besides, if they made him a more badass geek we kind of had that with Norman and Doc Connors. I sort of hoped they would have him be more of a street thug/ hustler type of person because we've never had that kind of villain before, but I guess they're going that direction with Rhino's alter ego (whats-his-name)

While the performances weren't the same they hit the plot points

I have to agree that Lizard unfortunately is the weakest thing in ASM. I have a feeling I'll like Electro much more! Not sure about Rhino yet

in that recent magazine article "x number of things u need to know about the amazing spider-man 2" it had this little write up on electro and said he had super strength.

was this an error on the author's part or?

I thought Lizard was ok - definitely possible I'll like Electro more. Especially if he poses more of a threat to Peter in combat.

I hope that Rhino doesn't overstay his welcome. Electro should be the vocal point of this sequel

I'm thinking that Rhino will be introduced very early in the film and during the Spidey/Rhino conflict we'll get to know Max. By the time Spidey deals with Rhino and has him subdued/locked up or whatever, Electro will be the main focus. That's what I am gathering from all that we've seen.
