Ayer looks like he nailed each of the Squaddies but man... Visually his Joker is a thing of modern beauty.

Know what? I completely agree. I don't even mind tattoos anymore, they seem to work well with what they're going for.

And I like that we're getting crime lord Joker this time around, it's a good direction since the lone terrorist version from TDK, as it immediately sets Leto's Joker apart from Ledger's iteration...
Also, I get a bit of Azzarello's "Joker" vibe in that aspect from some of these shots, which is only a plus.

Leto referred to his Joker as a ''beautiful disaster''. That's perfect.

This is such a beautiful shot:

Probably my favorite from the trailer.
The pattern of blades here looks like a keyhole.

Its too bad we'll only see about 15 mins of this Joker in the movie. We might only get to see the surface and not what makes him tick.

Nolan's Joker was so fleshed out that the full 33 mins mattered in The Dark Knight.

Hopefully in The Batman Ben and whoever the writers are can explore the mythology and psychology of this Joker more.

Its looking like more than 15 minutes to me. He seems to be in a lot of scenes.

I hope you're right. However, I wouldn't be surprised is some of the shots were from a montage. :csad:

If Will Smith never mentioned having a scene with Leto I'd really believe the Joker is just a way of explaining Harley origin and giving us a tease for the next movie.

The list of costumes, spotted in released materials:
-White club suit (Batman chase and the club);
-Golden suit with a black shirt ("I can't wait to show you my toys!");
-Golden suit with a white shirt and golden chains (hitting a car's window with his head);
-Arkham sweat pants, shirtless or with a straitjacket (Arkham asylum);
-Crocodile skin coat (waving finger shot, promo materials);
-Black tuxedo with a bow tie and a flower (AK-74 shot);
-Waistcoat and a white shirt (knives shot);
-Silver jacket with a red shirt (motorcycle chase and Ace Chemicals).

I thought Will Smith said he did have a scene with Leto, only he never met 'Jared Leto' only the Joker because Leto stayed in character on set?

Jump to conclusions much Debbie downer? Jeez.

There's also this one with the purple tie.
Which I'm pretty sure we haven't seen in the trailers yet.

I love that he's gonna have such a variety of looks.

Isn't it the tie, that hangs on the stunt double? I can be wrong, but check this one:

Seems like the same thing.

Yeah iirc, he said he never met him outside of action and cut, so it sounds like he did have scenes with him.

Leto's Joker may not have the look I wanted, but the two trailers have 100% sold me on this take of the Joker. I can get past the looks not being what I want, tattoos and "grill" aside, he does still look like Joker. But his performance, laugh, and pure madness from the trailers have my 100% approval!

I like the look of Joker on the Empire magazine cover. Nails the dandy look and presents himself as dangerous company.

Ugh aside from hating these types of memes in general, the premise is stupid.

Jack's Joker was pretty comic accurate and even Heath had his own elements brought over.

There is no "finally" with Leto's Joker, just another take on the character.

I always thought Leto would be great in the role, but I was never content with his look. I went back and forth between tolerating it and hating it. However, after seeing more of him in the new trailer I find his appearance much more tolerable given how much he seems to be nailing the character. I can't wait to see what else he brings to the table in the actual movie.
