since i already saw the movie i would like to ask the important question about the third act.
what happened with the Joker in the final fight with Enchantress?

if you look at the background you see that its the same place where the final fight happens.

-Joker crashes with the big helicopter down. Harley is sad because she thinks he died
-Enchantress gives all character at the end dream like visions of their happy life. Harley imagines that she has two children with the Joker(with normal skin and hair)
-Enchantress tells Harley that she can bring back the joker to life.

i think that :
a) Joker died and Enchantress brought him back to life but he just escaped(gif where he says bye bye)
b)he survived the crash and comes to the final fight. what happens i dont know.

i think Joker does something bad and the test audiences didnt like it so WB removed him.

I'm glad I've read/watched reviews that outline just how little Leto is actually in the movie because if I hadn't, I would be pretty upset going in thinking he'd have at least 30 mins of screen time, but it seems like WB didn't want to overuse him, perhaps. Hopefully he has a larger role in Batman's standalone movie and/or if Quinn gets her own movie.

I have a feeling that in 2015 they filmed footage that could be assembled into a perfect SS movie. IMO

I saw a good movie in there somewhere, and Ayer's vision does shine through the cloudy mess from time to time, its just the end product was very far from that vision IMO.

i read somewhere that test audience didnt repond good to some scenes where Joker was a little to mean/evil . I belive this because i know Ayer's movies. i bet he filmed some scenes with Joker that are not for children hahahah :woot:

But I read somewhere that he said the theatrical cut is his cut. And I follow him on Twitter, and he tweeted yesterday or the day before that he loves the movie that is playing in cinemas right now. I think that cloudy mess you're talking about is his vision.

With all of the rumors swirling around about studio interference (which sticks out like a sore thumb in the film) it is very hard to say. He may be just trying to save face in hopes of the film doing at best, decent business.

Ayer is playing the hollywood game. he is very angry but he knows that he can still work with WB if he plays nice. and he is . he was of course disappointed that WB didnt buy his and Max Landis project but he knows what he has to say.

he is IMO lying . this is not his cut.

If Deadpool proved one thing, the general audience doesn't want the same crap we've gotten from comic-book movies for well over a decade. There's a fine line between making the Joker a complete sadist and making him a captivating psychopath. It seems WB was too afraid to take this chance and instead made the Joker more likable which I have a problem with. But I'll see for myself in 4 hours if Ayer/Leto did the character justice with the limited time he's on screen.

Based on the film I saw and the information I've read, I would have to agree with this sentiment.

But you're still getting the same "crap", and some of it is pretty successful.

100%.in the trailer it happens on the same location as the third act fight and it was not in the movie.

That looked like his best scene, what the hell...

I guess time will tell. The Blu-ray should be out by Christmas. If there's an all-new, all-better version of the movie included, then we can say the studio dabbled. But, you understand, after the fallout from Batman v Superman, cries of studio meddling and mangling from disappointed fans just sounds like denial.

What else is he supposed to say? That they butchered his vision and that this was not the movie he set out to make?

That's not how the industry works. You wanna keep working in Hollywood, you tow the company line.

Granted even if he is legit happy with the movie, I can't help but feel there will be a time when he'll express some issues he may have had with the studio interference. But now is not the time...not when the movie hasn't even been released yet.

Ayer's not an idiot. He's been in this game a long time. He has to play ball here.

Just saying. Look at what Trank did. He bit the hand that fed him. He had a public meltdown, and it's pretty much ruined his career. A little while ago he was one of Hollywood's more promising young directors and he was going to direct the next Star Wars. He got fired from that picture too. I don't care what anyone says. He got fired from Star Wars.

Ayer's playing the game. Maybe he's wrong. Maybe he's lying, but he's still playing the game. So maybe the movie doesn't get great reviews. Maybe it gets bad WOM at the box office. At least, by the end of this, Ayer can still salvage his career.

Maybe in the future he will do less Suicide Squad type films. Maybe he won't do movies as big as this anymore and do some smaller pictures like End of Watch again, but he'll still be able to get work.

Trank is probably never going to get hired for a big studio movie ever again.

Josh Trank said it. And if Ayer were that upset with the final product, he does have the option to say nothing. Or at least be less effusive in his support of the film. He says he loves it. And I'll remind you, you are accusing this man of lying through his teeth right now. I, on the other hand, am taking his word for it until I see some other mythical version of this movie come out of the woodwork.

And how'd that work out for Josh Trank again?

I'm not accusing him of lying. I'm simply stating he's a smart dude who knows how the Hollywood game works.

Yea, Ayer isn't going to go down that route if he indeed felt that way. He did say some weeks back though, when asked about the reception to BvS, how important he found test screenings to be. So he seemed to really take to this idea of adjusting his film according to how these screenings went. He went into some length about it too, seemingly being genuine about it. So right there would show that he was open to his original vision being altered.

I agree that its a good move on his part, and he must be really restraining himself knowing his outspoken attitude. I honestly feel bad for the guy.

I made it for the fans and real people, I mean that's garbage. It's blatant PR speak, but it shows that Ayer is a team player.
