I'm not exactly sure how seeing the movie is going to change someone's mind about the tattoos. It's an aesthetic issue.

If it's purely aesthetic problem for you, then it can't be helped. I don't mind his tats, but if it's somehow explained in the film, part of his characterization of character arc - I'm really curious.

Don't know if you're trolling, but yea this.

Not my ideal Joker look. But the current look works for Leto.

Losing the tattoos now, it would make his look seem almost bare. The tattoos had something more to him, like the unusual smile for Jack and the cracked makeup on Heath. Jared still looks great, but I feel the tattoos complete something.
