At first I thought it was tattoo man but then I watch a breakdown and it really does look like joker. Maybe that scene with joker and tattoo man is joker somehow getting the ability to use his tattoos too.

That thing can be seen in Midway before the city if evacuated and from the trailers it looks like Joker gets to the Squad while they are on there way to Midway and he's the one who shoots there helicopter down.

Those tats are just so insignificant, still can't believe people hate them as much as they do lol

This Joker is quite a departure in some aspects, but still an unique and interesting take.

I like how he's 21st century flamboyant and seems to represent total excess. Dripping with gold, loads of ink, expensive and over the top clothes, the purple supercar. I bet that jacket is like 10 grand. This Joker enjoys himself and lives like a king.

He looks like an absolute nutcase. Terrifying.

Read an article earlier where it's author was still convinced this Joker was previously a Robin. I don't see why people still can't accept this is the definitive Joker of the DCEU.

There's no way DC would go with something as stupid as that. If they really wanted to piss people off & turn 'em away, that'd be the way to do it.

"Yeah, let's get an Oscar winning actor to play the Joker & give it all he's got to create a distinct portrayal but WAIT! We reveal he used to be Robin! It's genius!"

:o

Honestly even seeing BvS, people still consider the Lex in the movie, isn't the real Lex, and either the real Lex is coming (Even though he is most definitely dead and they were depicting this Lex's origin including Lex sr. as the abusive father, set up for why Lex acts the way he does) or Lex Jr. is a clone of Lex with Lex sr. brain in his body like the comics. So of course, some people will still try to consider Jared Leto Joker as Jason Todd or something, unless they blatantly say it in exposition or show otherwise.

It's just so ridiculous, though. No way that could be the case, especially with Jared stating his Joker is far older than he looks, implying they are going for a more Scott Snyder/Greg Capullo-esque styled Joker who could very well be immortal.

I guess it won't fully sink in until August 5th.

I think some people just don't want to accept that the character (at least looks wise) is a bit of a departure from the comics so they cling to the belief that 'it's not the real one' or whatever. Seriously, just let it go lol. Those tats have definitely grown on me.

Yeah, initially I 100% hated the direction they were going in with this Joker. But now it makes sense & I think it's pretty brilliant. The Joker is a gangster that has sort of always reflected the more oversaturated aspects of pop culture. With that in mind, it makes sense that he'd have the tattoos, a grill and an excessive amount of bling.

It only further goes along with the comic based theory that the Joker is an individual who is constantly changing himself, consistently morphing aspects of himself as he deems it necessary.

To deeper reflect this, I think it'd be cool to show some flashbacks down the line where the Joker has no tattoos and his style is different. He and Batman have been at this for two decades, more than enough time for him to have changed himself up over the years.
