Don't know how the makeup team kept dropping the ball like this..

I'm guessing Joker sacrifices Harley. Forcing Batman to save her whilst he gets away.
It would be in character with their love/hate relationship. Joker always looks out for No.1, aka Himself.

Yup. After it, she would hate him for a while and say that it is over between them. Then the Joker, who can be charming when he wants something, would make her feel special again and give her the love and attention that she so desperately craves from him and yearns for, and she would go crawling back. The Joker is the puppeteer, masterfully pulling her strings. He controls her and owns her completely. When the day comes, where Harley finally breaks free from him, I hope it is earned and built up to properly. It has the potential to be a great moment if handled properly (if they go that route, and I suspect they will). Even though she is a villain, there are plenty of people rooting for and hoping that Harley will break free.

Oh god! The horror!
Why should they waste time covering up such an innocuous tattoo when this Joker is covered in tattoos? They should have never covered it at all.
I'm sure they don't, though hands and arms should be always painted to avoid mishaps like these... I did notice a while ago that his hands don't seem to be white in some pics. Film's cinematography will probably "fix" this, but it is odd that makeup department overlooked it in the first place.
I didn't notice the MANY goofs in the Lord of the Rings series like camera men in the background or strings.
I doubt anyone will notice an out of place tattoo while watching the movie
Say lavi, movie goofs will happen.
Well, since they said that all his tattoos are sort of an easter egg pertaining to the characters history, that's more of a reason to not allow Leto's real tats to show.
I am puzzled though, how can Leto's tattoos show when they have to cover him in white bodypaint before applying Joker tats anyway? If they are forgetting to apply white paint then that's a huge overlook, much bigger than simply not covering up a tattoo or two.
I don't want Harley separated from the Joker. Why? Because she becomes something she's not... an antihero.
Kind of annoying how far people go to rationalize and justify her prior behavior after she's reformed.
It's like nah bruh, she f***ing murdered on behalf of the Joker. I don't care if she was insane or in love or manipulated.
