If Letoker's screentime is as short as is alleged, it would seem premature to try to rank his interpretation amongst his predecessors.

Exactly, but of course, that's the logical way to think about something like this. Not everyone has that capacity, it seems.

Lol no way. You can't even compare them because Leto is literally a minuscule side character with a handful of minutes on screen, not an important main villain lol what even. Leto is my favorite but he just doesn't have enough scenes to compare legacies, he just leads to a promising future.

That's quite a few changes to fit into 10 min of screentime. It'll be like a halftime performance.

none of his scenes seem to last beyond 1.5minutes tbh, some extremely brief. You have seen the entirety of Joker in the bat chase scene already for example.

his performance was top notch ,all his scènes are fantastic , he was very convincing as The Joker,
oscar worthly ? not ,because he's not the center of attention off this movie ,but he definitely need to be on another DC movies, we all hope for the next batman, but maybe Affleck will go on a different road ?

but he really deserve to be playin the joker again ,he'sa fantastic actor

I'm fully aware that this is a hyperbolic statement and passionately fueled, but I am PISSED that the marketing misled us like that. Like that legitimately makes me angry. I knew Joker wasn't going to be the central focus in the story but I was at least expecting him to be a recurring presence throughout the film and play some antagonistic role. IF his reported screentime is true. F*** that, man. If WB wanted a Joker focused movie so bad and knew people would be demanding it then they should have mandated that at the SCRIPT level to begin with.

I really don't care that he is in the movie for 10-15 minutes...all I care about is if he can make an good impression on me in those 15 minutes. Heath Ledger sold me in the first full scene he was in (not the bank robbery but the Mob Boss meeting) and that was less than 5 minutes. Going slightly off topic but Spider-Man was barely in Civil War and IMO he was one of the best things about that movie.

I'm gonna try to go in with an open mind when I see this movie this weekend...but so far from what I've read...I dunno we'll see

I will say one thing; I've seen a few people say wait till they see this Joker in later things which is fine and all, but we have to judge Leto's performance based on what we get in his screen time in this film, not what we may get in the future.

I'm quite glad to see people get something out of his performance where I could not. Hopefully they do give Leto more to work with in the future. I especially can't wait to see our fellow Hyper The Joker's opinion on this Joker.

It'd be like me saying judge Captain Phasma on what will happen with her in the future, not what we were given in The Force Awakens. This film however has the added basis of The Joker being an insanely well known character.
