His whole performance felt like it was written from Harley's perspective of the Joker instead of from Batman, which is what we're used to. I think that's why if felt so disjointed. All his scenes have this weird fairy tale like quality to them.

But the movie wasn't a love story so it felt flat.

Based on the trailers and the descriptions of the deleted scenes, not only were alot of Joker scenes cut, but it seems every scene that DID make the movie ended up being cut shorter than what they filmed for the scenes. Can't blame him for being upset.

Really hope this is true. There are alot of things you can do with Batman movies that still haven't been done but this is the idea I'm looking forward to the most.

all down for a leto joker interpretation especially in an arkham batman movie. that said he was one of the best things about the movie, and i knew when i was watching it that he was being edited to death, its clear to anyone who is familiar with movie production.

However, anything dealing with the present plot in the movie was crap. Even margot robbie, though a solid performance, seemed mostly out of place. out of place in the sense that without her in the main plot the movie would have collapsed on itself like a dying star, so she really didnt have any reason to be there, other then to be the only focal point of an otherwise horrendous and paradoxical plot. they knew everything was so mishandled thats why they literally show you everyone's abilities and tell you what the movie is GOING TO be about in the opening 10 minutes like a bad video game.

Confining the setting to just Arkham is the best way to keep the budget down and have tighter storyline. It doesn't need to be a globe trotting adventure.

I'm 1000x sure Affleck would handle Joker better than what we saw with SS. The fact that he seems to have a lot of pull should help.

Hope that bit about the movie revolving around Arkham is true. Would be amazing to see that finally happen in live action.

Did he say that in a podcast? I think there was a rumor about that a month ago, and the idea sounded like Goyer's arrow stuck in prison pitch. Ben's awesome at detective storylines so I hope if true maybe Alfred can do the detective work outside while Bat is stuck in Arkham.

Agreed. The "grill" changes his natural "look" so much that Joker doesn't look like Leto, I think it helps his performance, no need to remove those.

I wouldn't mind if they remove a few tattoos though, especially the "Damaged" on on his forehead.
