Hated Harley and the Joker... So disappointing, I've been waiting so long to see them on the big screen together. What a joke...

This Joker didn't have the dialogue. The night club scene for example. I liked what Leto was doing there. He came across unpredictable and playful in an intimidating way.

But he should've been more eloquent instead of coming out with that "hunka hunka!" crap. And that is down to Ayer, not Leto.

I'm confident this version of the Joker could still be fantastic if Leto is guided a bit better and if he's giving something to really work with.

See we've been spoilt really. Nicholson and Ledger had some fantastic, iconic moments and dialogue. Leto never really got a pencil trick moment or a "I'm glad you're dead!" moment.

I think seeing him up against Batfleck with an established history... including the death of Robin... could be exactly what Leto's Joker needs.

There's 4 major scenes I want to see with Leto's Joker.
-an Arkham fight with Batman
-an amusement park fight with Batman
-Joker's attack on Barbara
-The murder of Jason Todd

I just got out of Suicide Squad. The stuff with Enchantress was horrible. Croc sucked too. Hell, a lot of the movie sucked... But I loved the Joker, Harley and Batman stuff the most. The Batman/Joker/Harley car chase scene honestly brought a tear to my eye. That scene is SO Batman. Perfection.

The Batman movie is going to be amazing.

BREAKING: SUICIDE SQUAD's JARED LETO joins BLADE RUNNER 2.

good for him. maybe he'll be in the movie for more than 7 minutes this time around.

With Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling doing the heavy lifting he'll probably be in the movie no more than 15 mins. However, I'm sure he'll be glad to have some solid writing :cwink:

Knowing what we know now would you have preferred Ryan Gosling's take on the Joker? Assuming he decided to accept the role.

Ryan Gosling would've been a terrible Joker.

I'm so close to crying with joy right now

Crying for joy?

I read something interesting on cinemablend.com about what DC should do if leto decides not to return...

I read how there are 3 jokers running loose in the current comics?

nope, I was on record for saying that Gosling would've been a total misfire and was thrilled with Leto.

I still stand by that. Despite how much I hated his performance, I still think there is a good version of the Joker inside of Jared Leto, just like there is a good version of Lex inside of Jesse Eisenberg (who's performance I hated even more.) They're both good actors. They just need better material to work with.

Maybe it's WB making a peace offering to him? This is a BIG movie.

You guys Leto and Ford are two of my favorite actors. I'm so freaking happy here! The original is one of my all time favs!!!

AAAAAA! :funny:

Call me crazy, but I think Leto would have did a much better job as "Snyder's Lex" than Jesse.

I think I would have rather seen Snyder's take on Joker. Leto as Lex would have been interesting though.

If there was one character that snyder could possibly do something interesting with, its Joker. Sure it could have backfired, but I think Zack thrives a lot more with these twisted, cynical and darker characters. We know thats his comfort zone. I wanted him and Lex in BvS early on when the film was announced. And we know he would have looked fantastic too.

I'd imagine with Snyder's Joker, we would have gotten scenes like the pencil trick in TDK, but dialed up to 11. Probably not as cleverly thought out as that scene, but we still would've gotten some jaw dropping moments.

A Snyder movie with Joker in it would totally have a director's cut too, and I'm guessing all the best material would be saved for the UC too.

I think Ryan Gosling's Joker would have been a real human being.

Hmm...I think you're right. Snyder would have especially made it a point to not have the Joker just "there"

He would have sacrificed a few other things to make sure the Joker comes across well with GA. However, no telling if that would make the film better.

Snyder did a great job with Batman (besides the murder part)

Maybe as time passes he could do a Batman sequel.

Man how funny would it be if Leto became the Brandon Routh of this part, and Gosling became the equivalent of Cavill? :o
