No, it really isn't.

That would be a Travesty.

Ahem. Bad joke. I made a bad joke.

LOL

i hated nicholson's joker completely. hated it. Jack is a damn good actor, but i just hated the version, everything about it. camp as **** and really lame. even if that was due to the director's and script fault.
can't even remind his laugh, so must have been trash too, sorry to say it.

i adored heath's joker. and i love the 'under the red hood' joker even though i think that version could have been a bit darker.

i'm getting hyped about JL's joker especially after his public joker-voice 'really....really...craazy'. he has a good laugh in another movie, so no worries here.

What public Joker voice?

My response to this is "No".

So what do you do when Michael Caine won't come and talk exposition and chat the obvious no more because you got a new Batman? You tattoo character descriptions on your actor's forehead. It saves time telling stories so you can destroy the world with cgi for over an hour.

It's going to be good.

Sidenote: Hamil's Joker voice has always had just a hint of a British accent. I've always thought it would be interesting if the Joker were a British implant to Gotham. Or isn't. Or switches back and forth and wtf I am so confused.

His accent is an example of Mid-Atlantic English, featured prominently in older movies. It's an ambiguous mix of American and British English.

Show don't tell indeed.
I've said it before, but I dislike it simply because it looks bad.

I can't really say it's too out of character, in spite of him not making a habit of tattooing himself. Subtlety is just not his forte.

I heard someone saw Joker on the set and claimed he had no tattoos? Given that he'll probably have his suit on most of the time, the tattoos probably wouldn't show then and if the guy saw him from far away enough, the "damaged" forehead tattoo wouldn't be that visible either

The only thing that bothers me is the silver teeth. When you don't stare straight at them they kinda look like braces which makes this Joker look almost like a teenager. Leto already has such a smooth face so that doesn't help either

I like the silver teeth. The implication that Batman has not held back his punches with The Joker over the years makes me smile lol. Could do without the tattoos though. But I've been asking for a "lived in" Batman movie universe for years now. I believe I've even spoken on that on this forum in the past.

A movie universe with a Batman who isn't a rookie like Bale or Keaton and has really gone through it and learned from life experience. The "Batgod" as some like to call it but I just call it a guy who's been doing enough for 2 decades as a crime fighter to not be excused for having so many wonderful toys. Just jump in there and go.

Seeing established versions of The Joker, Killer Croc, Deadshot and even lame ass Harley Quinn pretty much solidifies that this will easily be the closest we get to the Batman comic books so far in terms of epic scope. It will be a very fleshed out Gotham. His universe already has a large amount of exposure in just 2 movies. About time.

I forgot my emo --> :o
I dislike it too, probably the one thing I don't like at all in the design. But I'm curious to see the reasoning for it in the movie, if there is any at all.

I remember there was a time when Hot Topic sold nothing but Heath Ledger's Joker merch. :batman:

Its not even a joke, just a bitter comparison, so not sure why it would be funny.

I don't know about you guys, but I think jokes hit the sweet spot when they're told for the 345th time.
