Um....that's not what Suicide Squad is. AT ALL.

Isn't it? Because Amanda Waller sure seems willing and able to unleash her human wrecking balls in violent ways, even ways that involve killing innocents. It's the ultimate expression of ends justifying the means.

But whether or not that's "what Suicide Squad is," my theory is that is the formula that will make a blowout movie. Taking it more seriously may still be successful, though.

It can be OTT like many scenes of Ayer's movies, but not to the point where it's bordering on comedic like Deadpool. And if tonally and thematically, they borrow from Ostrander's Suicide Squad run, it could be really special.

And in the story, everyone in the stadium was infected with a zombie virus. Which was the reason why Amanda sent them on that mission. I don't think flesh eating zombies count as innocent people.

I think Waller can be very practical, even cold blooded when necessary, but in the end she's about the protection of American citizen's lives and the lives of others around the globe... In that order. She can be gray but there are limits. The version in Assault On Arkham and Arrow are outlier versions of the character in my mind. She's not an unrepentant murderer.

It would kind of make sense for them to commemorate the Joker's 75th anniversary with a joke that they knew their rage-prone audience would flock to like a moth to a flame.

If it is all a joke, I really hope the overall look isn't too drastically different than that, though. Ditch the tattoos, sure, but keep everything else.

There's apparently(According to the girl that cleared up the paintball man stuff..so who knows?) going to be some more outdoor filming happening on sunday.
