Good! I didn't know to feel about the casting at first, but the manip makes me think that there's potential now.

I won't deny the GoT fanbase. He might even still have the Stargate Atlantis fans to support him, now they were crazy, but he needs to really step up his game for an Aquaman solo film right now his facial expressions are generally limited to some form of angry snarl and that cocky smile that often still looks like he's angry and wants to rip you a new one.

I would say for this film his snarl is thing we want to see. Isn't he supposed to be pissed about the destruction to his home world? Plus realistically, a solo AM film is years away. He still has time to improve his skills and he will improve. He has that potential and he seems to be dedicated if he's already directing his own films.

at least we don't have "blank stare fat neck" Tatum. It could be a lot worse.

I say he should have the beard for both BvS and JL. Short hair, classic styled costume. Then in his solo film he can go all Orin the Barbarian with the long hair, but be clean shaven, that will help to sell a solo as an origin film where Arthur is supposed to be younger.

Orin cast out of Atlantis as an infant. Orm is crowned king later. His mother dies taking him to his father, Arthur is raised as a human.

Eventually taken back to Atlantis by his brother, and the two have a good relationship, Arthur as prince, serves as commander of Atlantean military forces.

Then do a Throne of Atlantis story to have Arthur take the throne.

I totally champion multi-dimensional acting, but at the same time I can envision him going through an Aquaman movie just like that.

I think the choice of Momoa indicates that they are leaning toward the gladiator route .

Yeah I'm not a fan of the Flashpoint suit.

A variation on the New 52 or the 90s suit works for me.

i think it's important for Snyder and co to attempt to recreate Aquaman's classic suit. I think with the right materials, the classic suit can look great on film.

Momoa's look would likely fit reallly well with the 90s look though, so I could see them going in that direction
