I think there is some truth in this. You can compare the literary and movie incarnations of the Fellowship of the Ring; the former are entirely dark haired (with the exception of the grey-headed wizard), while the latter features a range of blondes, gingers and brunettes.

The Justice League has been refined over time to offer a visual spectrum as well as a spectrum of character types and superpowers. The movie version ought to take the same approach.

I hate to be a dick but somehow I don't think 99% of people will be crying if Snyder and pals change Aquaman a little. The character is a joke to virtually everyone.

Nothing dickish about that ISS. I am of the belief that people over estimate how true to the canon WB/DC is going to be with the film versions. I keep hearing stuff like "Well, after seeing BatFleck it's obvious that we will be getting characters close to the comics" or "I'm sure they'll do things with character X like the New 52/Classic Continuity." After seeing that they had great success with TDKT and MOS and neither held canon as sacred... Well, calibrate expectations fanboys and fangirls.

I agree with you completely sir. I will admit it if I am wrong but I too think people are crazy if they believe the characters are going to be acting exactly like this or that comic version.

They've gotten success without having to make things like canon come to life, but retaining the essences of things and having the occasional reference to stuff and characters. That's exactly what DC/WB did with TDKT and MOS.

Yeah I wouldn't be a fan of such changes so don't do that WB/DC/GOYER/SNYDER. They aren't reading my posts but I'll say it anyway.
