I'd say it's a few steps above Drax. Then again, I had no knowledge what so ever of Guardians of the Galaxy until I started hearing about the movie. Still don't really, Drax looks cool and I like Zoe Saldana but I couldn't care less about that group of hero's or that movie. Looks stupid to me.

I'm a fan of the Guardians comics, and I like Drax as a character, but I can say he's several steps below Aquaman. Both in being an interesting hero and as a carreer choice for Momoa. So yeah, Jason definitely took the right decision here.

I think that depends more on how the role itself is written/developed. You could have also said pre-Iron Man, "Oh I'm glad Brandon Routh didn't get cast as IM, Superman is a step above". If GOTG is a success, Drax the character will get quite the pedigree boost. Who knows if JL does the same for Aquaman.

I'm just glad Momoa is going to be in anything really. As a Stargate fan I love it when any actors from the shows get put in something big like this (although I wish Christopher Judge had more of a role in TDKR).

Eh Variety and THR have been more right than wrong and they have a better track record than random sites that run every rumor as if it is fact. Anything is possible I suppose but I'm going to trust Variety and The Hollywood Reporter for now.

I see them maybe bringing out Momoa as Aquaman at SDCC and maybe even another secondary character announcement. I'd love them to bring the first-string cast too, but I'm sure their wait till next year's panel to bring out the entire cast - gonna be uge...UGE!!

Dude, the cast is currently filming the movie, of course they aren't going to be there this year. I do think we are getting a formal Justice League announcement and release date...possibly. I mean duh this upcoming film is subtitled Dawn of Justice.
