Jason Statham to take on Meg

I just want this to be in the same type of category as Deep Blue Sea, and it seems to be exactly that case. So that’s a

Oh man, I didn't realize that they had released 3 more Meg books since the last one I read.

Randy Greenberg, who’s an executive producer on the film, says the original plan at Disney was to make “Meg” as a family-oriented movie, while New Line’s idea was to have de Bont make a more terrifying version.

I think this film would have more hype had they gone the horror route. Not so much R-rated, but a little more serious in the vein of Jurassic Park or Jaws. I think making it more a less a "camp" version was the wrong direction IMO. This could've been one of the more anticipated movies of the summer had they gone the more terrifying version.

My sentiments exactly. Ever since I found out about Megalodon some four or five years ago I wondered how long it'd take for them to make a movie pertaining to it. And this looks to be everything I could've hoped for from such a movie so I'm all in.

Jason Statham gives a rousing speech to the rest of the cast and then suddenly, the meg eats him.

Thank god the Disney version never happened.

:funny:

There must be 20 different Megs of different shapes and sizes in this movie judging from all these posters and art.

A Meg's tooth can fit in an adult's hand...meanwhile the version in this poster is about half the size of Statham lol.

It isn't to be taken as a literal scale, obviously. :)

That shark just has no chill.

It's a MEGALODON, dammit. ;) :D

My favorite part of THE MEG is that the biggest shark that ever lived is extremely good at silently sneaking up people.

RUN FROM IT. DREAD IT. THE MEG STILL ARRIVES.

I didn't realize so much **** was coming out on the 10th. This, Slender Man and Black KKKlansman. Geez.

He must have seen Jaws: The Revenge recently.

I hope it eats the dog just to trigger people. :o
