What did you think of Jason Todds resurrection and the following events, and how would you handle it from here?

Last I saw he was running around in Bludhaven dressed as Nightwing. This seems slightly ridiculous to me. If used at all he should be an iconic character with serious aims. And enough with the impersonations already.

If it was your decision would you retcon his survival or offer a new explanation? Because from ever on it's going to be that Jason survived because 'Superboy punched reality'. wtf? Why can't it just be as simple as a Lazurus Pit.

So after Nightwing finishes up and Jason has a rest from the books, then what? He doesn't seem like the kinda guy that would lay low.

I think it would be interesting to have him as a longterm partner of Talia (perhaps raising young Damian!) or taken in with Ivy. Or starting his own organisation. Whatever, he should be a serious threat or nothing at all. He also might need a new alias

And while we're here do you have a favourite JasonTodd story or moment? (apart from Death in the Family!)

Didnt Batman throw a Batarang at his throat and kill him? I could be wrong because i havent read the comic its in but im pretty sure it happened.

No, he's still very much alive. He threw a batarang at his shoulder, to stop him from killing the Joker, but he definately didn't kill him.

I like Jason Todd..when he's written by Winick. Todd's appearance in Jones' arc was moronic, but I really dug him "Under the Hod", as well as his appearance in GA.

Best Jason Todd thing evers was when he turned into an octopus monster in Nightwing. But beyond that, not a fan. :down

he sucked in Nightwing, but he's been rocking over in Green Arrow :o

where can I read about what's happening in Green Arrow? Or can someone explain?

Jason Todd has always been my favorite Robin. He has a great origin Post Crisis, and had alot of excellent background stories in him that were silenced because of his untimely end in Death in the Family. And I agree if they are going to keep using Jason, they really need to make him a threat in the world of Batman, and treat him such.

I think one of my favorite stories is when Jason supposively killed a Diplomat's son because he was abusing a girl, who eventually hung herself because she couldn't take it anymore. I also liked Jason & Dick's first meeting post crisis as Nightwing & Robin, Batman #416

I just like the octopus monster thing in a so bad it's good kind of way. (like Snakes on a Plane)

^ I still don't understand the "explanation" of that issue/situation???!?!

essentially, the city Green Arrow lives in/is currently mayor of has been seperated into two parts...there's the regular side, and then the side that was hit hard by the effects of Infinite Crisis, which was walled up and turned into a ghetto, essentially. Brick, essentially GA's Kingpin, has been living on the streets of that side, fighting to keep some semblance of order while he rebuilds his criminal empire, but Arrow has been letting him slide seeing him as the lesser of two evils in this situation. Enter Jason Todd with a plan for them to help each other get rid of Batman and Arrow as the same time...and that's pretty much where we are now.

I didn't mind him coming back like a lot of people have because the Under the Hood arc and basically everything inbetween that arc and Batman OYL was amazing. I like Jason and even play him in one fo the RPGs of these forums as the Red Hood.

What pisses me off is Nightwing OYL arc involving Jason. I seriously want them to take that arc out of continuity.

I decided to start collecting Green Arrow and ironically enough, Jason is current involving with that series; so I'm definitely looking at that.

So what EXACTLY happened?!? I didn't read the arc beyond the first ish, but I saw the panel where someone or something showed up in OCTOPUS form???

Aside from the fact that it was completely ******ed to have Jason running around pretending to be Nightwing and trying to give him a bad rep...in short? Jason was turned into some octupus-monster thing and almost ate someone. :cmad:

If someone wanted to have Jason make another appearance after him coming back to life...it should've done the guy who brought him back in the first place in the Under the Hood arc. From what I've heard though, the current writer for GA is doing a good job with Jason so I wish that the GA story was Jason first appearnces every since before IC.

How does one get turned into an octopus monster?

Bruce Jones really dropped the ball. And with that OMAC mini, he's really sucked things up lately! ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz........

he got turned into an octopus by some generic mad scientist character

You know, I actually enjoy the OMAC mini. I just don't know what happened with his NIGHTWING arc. Its crapiness has reached mythic levels.

I liked his Batman: Scarecrow Year One story...but I cannot believe that he actually wrote that piece of crap that should be taken out of continuity that is Nightwing OYL.

thanks Joker.

thats sound alright. I hope my shop still has the issues when I finally make it in

He got turned into an octopus monster? Thats a bit Spider-Man, isn't it? Really liked Under the Hood, even if the resurrection story was a bit silly. But them's the breaks.

Jason Todd is my favorate Robin. I loved his origin, Post-Crisis, although the Pre-Crisis version of Killer Croc being the killer of The Todds was good, the street kid origin and Two-Face being The killer of Jason's father was what i liked. I am glad he is back and I am glad that he will now become Red Robin. I like when fallen heroes can be redeemed like Jason Todd and Hal Jordan who was Parallax. I actually got back into reading comics when Todd was introduced and reintroduced in the 1980's. I have alot of good memories of the Todd/ Robin adventures.

Where did you get Red Robin from? :wow:

Only time I've seen that was in Kingdom Come and that was Dick Grayson.
