Oh, I completely agree with that. It seems like Guy hasn't been ''put on the map'' yet, like Bale has. Bale has American Psycho, Batman Begins, and The Machinist under his belt... I can't think of anything that Pearce has been involved in other than Memento and Ravenous (which rules, by the way ).

So, if Hugh's schedule is as busy as you say it is, then I think there shouldn't be any discussion at all about who's gonna be Dent. Guy Pearce, hands down, 100% guaranteed.

PLUS, Nolan listened to us when we wanted Bale, and sure enough, Bale is our new Batman. We were craving for Guy Pearce for Dent looong before Batman Begins was even released, so if Nolan was listening to THAT too, then it's obviously Guy Pearce.

I'm starting to think it's really possible. It's one of those things I didn't dare put too much faith in because it seemed too obvious - I suppose a lot of Bale supporters back in the day felt the same - but given the denials about those three candidates and the fact that a lot of other possibilities are busy...I'd go with Guy.

Heh, there was a rumour Guy had a cameo that was cut from BB as Dent. I don't think it's true, but it still amuses.

Just look at Iron Man. That movie comes out in May 2008 and all we know for that one is Robert Downey Jr. and Terrence Howard. TDK at least has more actors in place, that we know of at least.

Yea but if Nolan is listening to the fans by visiting SHH! then how many posts is he gonna have to navigate through just to find Pearce's name? I don't see his name as often as I see other actors names. If anything, if he indeed is gonna listen to us, then he will just go off of that thread that says, "Mr. Nolan - We Want Clive Owen For Harvey Dent!!!". So, if you wanted Pearce or some other actor for Dent and we end up getting Clive Owen, then blame Raybia. LOL, j/k. I'd definitely be happy if Pearce got the role though.

People keep suggesting that Nolan started the Prestige PRECISELY after Batman Begins, so he could discuss Dark Knight stuff with Bale and Caine while on the set. That way they ''unofficially'' got a head start, and didn't have to worry about major crap once production starts.

So, there's no doubt in MY mind, that Nolan probably had his eye on Jackman when he was casting the Prestige. I dare say that Scarlett Johanssen and Piper Perabo are going to be thrown into this mix eventually, too.

Hell, I'm gonna go a step further and say that if it's NOT Hugh Jackman, then it would HAVE to be Guy Pearce. I'll send a check for $10 to each Hype member if I'm wrong. Hugh Jackman OR Guy Pearce.... guaranteed.

If that's the case than Piper Perabo will be Harley, Scarlett will be Selina Kyle, and you got to consider other actors Nolan has worked with such as:

Joe Pantoliano- Penguin or some other mob character

Pearce would be so good as Dent. But even though he said he'd consider a Batman film because of Nolan, hes also said:

So would he sign on, or go with his gut? I tend to think he'd turn it down.

Pearce always talks about how he looks for quality character and scripts, and how it's not usually in typical Hollywood fare he's offered. So if he joins the cast, it will certanly speak to the quality of The Dark Knight's script.
