This might sound quaint, but should we expect Urban to bulk up for the role like he did for "Pathfinder" or like Tom Jane did for "The Punisher"? Or will he, like Ray Stevenson in "Punisher:War Zone", sport a regular/average athletic look and rely more on "pure presence" wearing his heavy-geared suit throughout most of the film? What you all think?
I don't expect a Simon Bisley-drawn Judge Dredd come to life, mind you, but Carlos Ezquerra and Cliff Robinson convincingly drew Dredd in such a way that his strong build could come through his relatively thick-layered uniform.

I honestly dont think Urbans one of those guys who can acheive that 'comicbook-buff' build ala Jackman, Bale etc. I remember that this was covered a lot a few years ago when people where suggesting him for Thor based of his LOTR part - fella doesnt seem to have the body type or the genetics to do that, for me. Plus, even if he could, I doubt that the Star Trek guys would want Bones to put on a significant amount of muscle for their next outing.
I think they may go with a muscle suit under a thick-layered uniform and bank on Urban's performance on selling Dredd's ability to kick ass (think Mel Gibson as Mad Max).
Which is by no means a bad thing.

Nice!! Ok, those pictures are from a fan-made film not the currently in pre-production film. That's not Karl Urban.
