Jungle Fever aka Interracialosityness aka You're Dating a What??

Ofcourse I would. We are mostly all the products of pluralistic societies, so its obvious we will find other colors, facial features, etc, attractive.

My question is why aren't some industrialized governments taking advantage of this? What is wrong with accepting others in your culture? Do you necessarily lose your own, or does your own evolve?

Not me, but I've experienced it. Growing up with my mom (who's asian), she always had some scrawny white dudes knocking down her door. Hell, she married a scrawny white dude. I hate it 'cause some of these people come off as really nice, well intentioned guys, til a few dates later and you find out they just got that yellow fever. :o like when someone asks you what's your type, your first answer shouldn't be a color, but maybe that's just me.

I agree... the answer should never be answered with a race or color.

It goes back to knowsbleed's first post about how some people selectively date ONE race.

The important question here is, how hot is your mom?
You know, I've been asked that question a million times and I still don't know what the correct answer is. Like you know how friends sometimes rag on each other with mom jokes? Well mine do that too but they always end it with "but seriously though." So I'll be talking to one friend and he'll be like, "alright I'll talk to you later. Tell your mom that I wanna tap that. Haha... but seriously though, I wanna **** your mom." :csad:

Are we talking Ming-Na from her second season in ER hot? :o

OK, I'm done. I just want to be seen as vaguely scummy, not full on scummy.

I got no problems with interracial dating - the first girl I ever dated regularly was Vietnamese. Growing up where I grew up, I was only ever going to date interracially anyways, since girls of my own race didn't exist there.

This reminds me of something that I heard the other day though - and I don't remember where I heard it, that ironically, via mating and such, racism actually keeps us more diverse, because if we were all to mix breed, we'd all become the same in the end.

I don't really see how race matters. All that matters is whether two people are attracted to one another.

I've been seeing a Chinese girl for a few weeks. It's been fine, though the language barrier is occasionally frustrating, if only because she's really only been speaking English for about a year (came to America for school last fall), and while she is fluent, she still has a think accent, and doesn't always understand vocal nuances that seem natural to me (most significantly sarcasm, something I am quite prone to).

I think that everyone on this forum knows my opinion on this one by now!

If I think a guy can meet most of my needs - colour doesn't matter. If he doesn't have a sense of humour and a good amount of intelligence I'll boot him out the door regardless of race, religion or ethnicity.

Actually, religion / tradition would be a bigger stumbling block for me. If the guy expects "Holly Homemaker" he'll be in for a big surprise. (I'd rather spend hours typing than half an hour doing housework). And wearing something that hides me from head to toe... ain't gonna happen.

I'm all for it, after all, my sister and I would not exist if not for interracial marriages.

Same here and I'm guessing that if most people really dug up the truth about their family tree, they would find that they aren't a single ethnicity.

Yes we know you are currently dating a black man... but do you solely date black men? Or have you dated men of different races?

I always thought I'd be with a cracker. If you would have told me in high school or college, I'd be with someone who was even part black, I wouldn't have believed you.

I kind of want to build a time machine and tell that to young Erz now...

You'd go back in time to tell me THAT?

Why not lottery numbers or sports picks. Seems like an awful waste of plutonium to tell me that. :o

I would tell Erzengel not to let Biff get his hands on the Almanac and in the words of the great thinker of our times wesley snipes "Always bet on black".

and let you win all the money?! I would give my younger self all that info plus which superhero movies to skip!

i have no problem dating out of my race..

My bad, I guess I was wrong lol. I don't soley date any ethnicity. However, I've almost always dated black men...that's just how it's worked out, I suppose. I went on a couple of dates with a white guy at the end of my senior year of high school. One guy I briefly dated was half black and half Filipino.

I'm actually most used to interracial relationships, to be honest. All of my friends are black and I have like, one 1/4 Mexican 3/4 White friend, they all prefer white women as apposed to their own ethnicity and, having been around that for 5+ years, I've grown comfortable with it. So, in a sense, I'd be more shocked if any of them were to date their own ethnicity. My cousin is white and married a black woman, and his wife is probably the coolest woman I know.

I myself don't have a preference either and my parent's aren't the kind of parents that'd object to anything.
