This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]518255[/split]
I remember Tom Hardy's name floating around for Constantine quite awhile back.
I'm hyped af for JLD, but why is we talking about it in the house that Batman built? I will close this mutha' down if ya'll keep it up.
Because Batman will be a key member of JLD of course.
As he should be.
To tie it back here's a cool piece at the end of the article
. The film will play a major role in the new D.C. Cinematic Universe.
Wonder what that could mean?
Could we see something like Trinity War that featured the traditional JL, a government sponsored JL United, and JL Dark fighting each other
It's ok. John Constantine's dad is also called Thomas so Batman won't kill him.
They aren't good at murdering magical opponents. You need another kind of murderers for those.I mean, can't those murderous bastards from BvS just be the JLD?![]()

I'm not troubled at all because I don't care about the project as of right now.I'm troubled for two reasons.
1) I was honestly hoping that Del Toro would end up coming back to this. Part of the initial appeal of the project was the idea of getting to see a Del Toro-designed Swamp Thing and Etrigan. Del Toro is one of the best creature designers in the film industry, so the prospect of him taking on DC's occult properties was extremely tantalizing. Liman's a great director, but I'm concerned about his aesthetic being incompatible with the weirdness of Dark Universe.
2) I have never heard of this screenwriter before (Michael Gilio), and if I'm looking at the right one on IMDb he has very few writing credits to his filmography (and I'm unfamiliar with all of them). The script is arguably the most important part. Not knowing anything about this guy's talents as a screenwriter fills me with worry.
I realize they both have "Justice League" in the title, but this is the thread for discussing the one starring Batman, his new friends and a dead guy.
