Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Kyle Maclachlan IS ?

In that same episode, when he had Raina by the throat she warns him about losing his temper and he looks directly into a mirror (I remember thinking at that moment that he is definitely Hyde) so I definitely think he has the potential to change, but I also think he's been trying hard to keep it buried since he doesn't want for Skye to "see him that way".

However, it doesn't bother me that he hasn't transformed yet. First off, of course, most of the audience isn't comic book readers and so have no idea that he has any sort of power and showing that he did would have honestly taken away from Skye's big reveal. Oh, her mother never aged and her father can turn into a smaller Hulk? Well, of course she's got super powers! I watch the show with noncomic readers and to them, Cal calling Skye "Daisy" meant absolutely nothing. Yes, they had figured Skye was special and could touch the diviner, but then so could Raina and it didn't appear to have any immediate effect and her mother's power of not aging seemed a little more, well, alien than superhero if you know what I mean. It's a very passive power from a character we barely see or know.

But then you show her father turning into this monster (in the same episode where she finally gets her powers) and it takes a way a lot of the impact. Think about her father's comment that after her transformation he would be the only one there for her. Well, if we'd just seen the man turn into a monstrous brute than those words don't mean very much. As it is, I think it was way more effective for the vast majority of the audience that they kept Cal as human as possible until Skye gains her powers. It doesn't matter that his origin is completely different, if you have him able to turn into a monster than what's all this talk about how Skye is so special? It just takes away from the build up to her origin, and to me a few special effects shots aren't worth more than story telling.

Well spoken, and well tought :yay:

I think we will probably see him transform later on, as the latest episode showed that we are not done with him. Some even speculated that me might show up as a cameo in the Daredevil series, as he is a Daredevil villain. The only hindrance is that the actor might soon be busy, with a new season of Twin Peaks comming soon.
