Man, I think you all are getting your hopes up to much...let's wait and see. Remember the last attempt?

Because of the studios involved, the director involved, the writers involved and the and actors involved all point towards the potential for a very good movie.

2015 is completely stacked. It would be ridiculous to put it out then even if they were closer to production now, but as it is they keep throwing out scripts.

That is not a good reason not to release JL... at all. You realize that WB is not attached to the studios that have 2015 "stacked", correct? They need blockbusters of their own for 2015, and with the number of movies released each year I don't see how anyone can say 2015 is "stacked" when we don't even fully know all of the movies that will premiere that year.

And we also don't know how the JL script is doing at the moment. Please, don't turn this into one of those things where someone acts like they know what is going on at the studio.

Go back a month, all the sites were reporting that they were going back to the drawing board with the script and the line up of the JL film.

Chillax man.

And many at WB have publically spoken about how much they are very much in wait and see mode contingent upon Man of Steel's performance this summer.

I too don't think JL will make its 2015 slate due to WB's fickleness. 2016 I can see though.

You realize all of those sites that posted about the script being scrapped indicated that it was nothing but a rumor, correct? Nothing has been confirmed, yet you make it out to be the gospel truth. And even if it was scrapped, there was also rumor of a new script writer being pulled onboard which many think is Goyer.

I am relaxed because there's nothing here to take that seriously, don't let the fact that I'm voicing my opinion in this manner fool you. I always express myself like this. I've just seen your argument many times on this site(2015 being too stacked) by more than one person, and it makes no sense. That has nothing to do with WB or any of the movies they make.

Also, just because WB is waiting to see how MoS does before moving forward with JL does not mean that they aren't already preparing for it, which they seemingly are.

Of course we all know the biggest most anticipated film in the next few years is the new Star Wars. Technically Godzilla doesn't fit the "comic book movie" genre anyways, though neither does Star Wars even if they made comic books about it after the films.

I hope a good trailer or word of mouth will make this film a success. It will be awful if we get a good Godzilla film , but it under performs.

you really think a epic movie like justice league is gonna be made in less than a yr and a half?you they would have to start shooting this year to make summer 2015 a movie like that would have 6months post production.

Post production time depends on the director and crew, and if it is someone like Snyder, he can get great work done in less time than that because he works on the effects and stuff as he goes along filming. If they have a script, director, crew, and get casting done this year they can start filming+post production next year.

There is also no absolute indication that JL will come out in summer 2015. It could very well be a 2015 winter release, although, I'm personally hoping for a summer date.

Let me also remind you about Cap 2, which hasn't even began filming yet, but will be due out in March of next year. As a matter of fact, none of the Marvel movies that are due out next year have started filming aside from TASM2, and some of those movies are still in the process of casting.

I just got off the phone with someone from Legendary (dead serious here, guys) about the matter of the SDCC teaser getting an official release. Here's what I was told. Right now, there are no plans to get this sucker released to the public YET. HOWEVER, they said they might consider doing that once marketing kicks in down the road. I was even able to suggest a possible idea for the release of the video: they could release it on May 16 of this year, exactly one year to the day that the movie itself is suppose to come out! Again, THIS IS NOT A SCOOP. This is just an idea I proposed to them, though what I was told is 100% true. I've done all I can now guys. Now we just sit back and wait and see if we get lucky. Hope this helps!

You are one lucky man... ask them about Warcraft! Agh!

(Not being serious, I know it would be an inconvenience.)

Lol, I get ya. I only called once about the Godzilla matter, and I have no plans on bugging them further about that. And I'm dead serious, guys; I looked up the number for their HQ via Google and called em! I did it to try and ease your anxiousness about that teaser!

And you are acting as if 2015 is an absolute lock, even though the film happening at all or the form the film will take is dependent upon the performance of a film that doesn't come out for 3 months.

While I agree that WB needs something that summer, I don't see it necessarily being a Justice League film.

While the release of 1 super hero film in the summer has done little to delay another (I. E. Spiderman coming out a few weeks before the Dark Knight Rises) it may not be the best or most obvious business plan to release the company's team film, one that they will be depending on to launch several franchises rather than being the culmination them right after the sequel to the already established and wildly successful superhero team film.

There is certainly development on a JL film taking place but in comparison to other films set for that summer it is far behind.

You know what is a good reason not to release a film? Its not a good idea to half ass a product that you have so much relying on, not just one franchise starter, but several in one.

If anything, you are the one acting like you have any idea what is going on at the studio.

You are not operating off of any more information than the rest of us.

But anyways, f*** it, this is the Godzilla thread.

I'm adamant about the 2015 date because the LA Times first reported it, and they've proven to be very reliable except for the occasional slip-up here and there.

So far, we've heard nothing at all about the movie being delayed. However, everything we've seen so far has still mentioned the aimed 2015 release date and that's what I've been going on. That's more than the JL doubters have at the moment. I also see MoS being a sure hit which is why I'm not worried about that, but that is more of a gut feeling of mine.

You think they're going to half-ass it, and in the movie business post-Avengers, I'd like to think WB realizes the stakes are high for this movie and will not "half-ass" the movie.

And I'm not acting like I know what's going on at the studio at all. I haven't made any declarations about the happenings at WB. If you really think I have, find where I said that and quote it.

But when did the LA Times reported the 2015 release date. A lot of has happened since then, even if there are just rumors. It seems like they're rumors with some weight.

Last October was when they reported it.

It doesn't matter when they reported it, because up to this moment nothing has come out to discredit that article so far. People trust the LA times, which is why the bigger news sites also keep mentioning the 2015 release date.

Usually i would agree with you, but this time around, WB has been so fickle that they tend to change their minds a lot. Back then, perhaps they're still high on the script written by that 'Gangster Squad' dude, but apparently they have tossed out the script. And it seems like WB has had a hard time finding a director for this thing, especially if it's a priority.

Every movie site can contest to this: WB is having cold feet. They're just indecisive. The good news is the reports of Man of Steel being really, really great. But THEY CANNOT WAIT to see how it does for a 2015 release. They have to start now.

And you're not dumb; you've seen the weird history that WB has with its DC properties. It's a blessing that 'Man of Steel' got green lit. I'm thinking the ball is rolling because of the changing climate in Hollywood (post-Avengers, JJ's Star Wars) that WB has to make a move no matter what. But I just don't know about a 2015 release. Hopefully I'm wrong.

And no one seems to care about my info. Nuts.

I do. Sorry, I just get into these little debates and get derailed. I actually hope they consider your proposition to release the footage on May 16th, exactly one year before the movie's release.

I'm sure we're all thankful that you actually contacted and talked to Legendary representatives. I'd love to do that!

But do you know how many movies struggle to find directors in the beginning? Hypothetically speaking, if WB has someone like Snyder in their crosshairs and he's actually agreed to direct but WB hasn't officially announced it yet, then that's something you don't need to be concerned with.

I will say that yes, WB is indecisive, but since they have a new CEO(who's actually tied to DC) I think things will be changing.

We just don't know what's going on behind the scenes. They could be further along on this than any of us think. Or they could be further behind on this than I think. We all just need some confirmation from WB so this can stop. I think SDCC '13 is going to give us answers, though.

We'll see what happens. I'm a DC supporter myself, but due to the lack of progressive and WB's passiveness, I've hit my breaking point with them until I see an announcement. Until then I remain 'meh' because I fear that they're indecisive on what to do with their properties. But I hope Man of Steel wakes them up.

I think the skepticism is completely warrant, don't you think?
