Godzilla 98 is a 10/10 film, my friends.

Welp, looks like I've lost all my friends here now.

:o

Some of us befriended you because we felt sorry for you. Me and TPC took you under our wing. You wouldn't have gotten over if it wasn't for us. :o

I think it's a decent monster movie , but a terrible Godzilla film.

I haven't seen it in like 7 years, but it's the only Godzilla movie I've seen. I remember having the VHS.

The soundtrack is a PERFECT time capsule though. From The Wallflowers to Puff Daddy to Foo Fighters to Green Day to Jamiroquai etc. :)

i dont despise the 98 Godzilla film, i think its stupid and fun. What i really DID like was the animated series that came with it, finished it the other day on Netflix and it kinda irks me that they didnt properly finish it.

the 98 godzilla was dumb fun, but it was not a godzilla movie.
i should watch the original gojira before this new one comes out. i recently got classic media's dvd edition used.

You gotta be ****ting me!! :O

It was a bot-battle. There was no limit on how many times you could vote and people on both sides starting using automatic voting tools.

Also besides all of that, what demographics do you think are getting on MTV's website?

While I do despise the 1998 abomination, I will agree that it's cheap popcorn flick fun, especially if you just see it as a monster movie and not a Godzilla movie.

I'll give it a nice point that a few slabs of the humor was actually funny:
"Oh you gotta be kidding me man, WE'RE IN HIS MOUTH. WE'RE IN HIS MOUTH!"

"You're going the wrong way man, YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY."

XD To be honest I would probably say those exact lines and act that way if a giant monster was ever trying to eat me within a car and I wasn't the driver.

------------------

Beyond that, I also agree that Godzilla: The Series was what GINO should have been. I do love the series and Zilla Jr is the only Zilla who I'll fairly accept and enjoy. But that's as far as it stems in any relation to GINO.

Anyway, back on topic!

I never understood that line as a kid. Was it supposed to be funny?

Now I understand...it's the meaning of life.

Exactly that's all life is...a lot of fish. #broderickisjesus

It's religious symbolism, man. In a deleted scene, there was only two fish...fishes. The military was like: "oh no, we only have two sardines". And then Broderick said: "oh, ye of little faith...", and then he made two sardines into a lot of fish. He surprised himself a little, by making too much. That's why he turns to the guy and says: "that's a lot of fish!"

Any word on a superbowl spot? Would be pure hype if they unveiled Godzilla hell if that was all it was Id be happy.

Zilla's actually turning up at the SuperBowl.

They should have a large robot-Godzilla show up during the game, stomping on people etc.

Id love to see a spot but I cant imagine them spending that much on a TV spot. From there approach it looks like there trying to keep the cost down.

I find this interesting due to the wrinkles it seems to add to the rights. I would've thought IDW would be the one to publish tie ins, but I guess not. It's a pity, but I guess it is to be expected, based a bit on prior licensing announcements for the movie.

That and it does seem to reinforce some of the spoilers that leaked.
