"The arrogance of man is thinking nature is in our control…and not the other way around."

Might be a dumb question but I haven't been following this movie as much as I maybe should have, was obsessed with Godzilla as a kid, but.........

Are there villains in this movie? Like other monsters?

That trailer iS amazing and if that's rodan I may start weeping from sheer happiness in the theater

If anything, I can see some of the MUTO creatures being homages to other Toho monsters.

I can't fathom anyone not liking this design for Godzilla.

That is a well made trailer. And the music in this and the teaser is so eerie. It absolutely creates the necessary tension.

Begs the question as to who the heartless ***** closing the door on him is :o.

While I like the look I do hope they give Godzilla somewhat of a personality and not just go with the cliche "he's a force of nature thing" directors are all too apt to do these days. It doesn't have to be corny.

I still want the other Toho monsters to appear in the sequels. :argh:

even if it's just for a guest musical number.........:o

The whole force of nature thing is pretty central to Godzilla. Godzilla itself is the giant monster archetype. Its kind of like going into Passion of the Christ and saying "Man I hope they don't go for the whole martyr thing."

Much as I'd love to see some of the other monsters brought to life with modern techniques, I think it'd be great if they could continue to expand and make new monsters.

Godzilla literally IS a force of nature. You can't nuke a living, breathing nuke.

Eh, we'll see how it comes off. I don't want him to just be a non-descript special effect.

Destroyah and/or King Ghidorah or bust!! :cmad:

:o

maybe the Mutos evolve somehow into Ghidorah?

it seems they go through different stages of evolution, and based on some of the "leaked" descriptions, it seems the Mutos and Godzillas have been locked into a battle for centuries.

I'd love to see them all get top hats and canes so they can dance and sing to "Let's all go to the lobby' in the middle of the film.
