And check out little pistol-packing Gavroche in that barricade shot!

God, this movie needs to get here...

I may be going to the NYC premiere on the 10th. :)

OMG, lucky you! :woot:

Love all the new stills, especially the Eponine/Marius ones. And the guy playing Grantaire is so cute, not what I pictured reading the book :awesome:

If Eddie Redmayne does end up as Harry Osborne, this film will be full of comic book characters. It just needs Amanda Seyfried to star in one too.

When will the soundtrack be out? I would like to get my hands on the official soundtrack album.

Does anybody knows the confirmed soundtrack listing?

So far there's just a listing on Amazon for a highlights CD, which is due out on 12/26. Hope we get an update on the full version soon.

Here's the story from Playbill:

Les Miserables Film Soundtrack Will Have Dec. 26 Release
By Adam Hetrick
November 27, 2012

A single-disc highlights album of Tom Hooper's film adaptation of the Tony and Olivier Award-winning hit musical Les Miserables will be released Dec. 26, according to Amazon.com.

Universal Republic is releasing the album that features live vocals recorded on set during the filming of the epic musical. As previously reported, the cast, including Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Aaron Tveit, recorded all of their singing live during filming, listening to piano accompaniment through a hidden earpiece.

A 70-piece orchestra later gathered in London to record the full orchestrations that will be featured in the film and on the soundtrack.
The soundtrack is currently available for pre-order at Amazon.com.

It has not been reported whether a fuller, deluxe edition of the Les Miserables soundtrack will be released. The film debuts Christmas Day in theatres across the world. The film does not include all of the musical recitative from the original stage production.

The movie also includes the new song "Suddenly" for Jean Valjean (Jackman) to sing. Producer Cameron Mackintosh previously told Playbill.com that the song "was something that Alain and Claude-Michel came up with, after a passage in the book, which beautifully explains what happens when [Valjean] takes Cosette from the inn and looks after her. Herbie's written a lovely lyric to it, and we're all delighted how it seems to fit into the film version."

The film stars Jackman as Valjean; Crowe as Javert; Hathaway as Fantine; Tveit as Enjolras; Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thenardier; Amanda Seyfried as Cosette; Eddie Redmayne as Marius; Samantha Barks as Eponine; George Blagden as student Grantaire; Sacha Baron Cohen as Thenardier; and Daniel Huttlestone as child-hero Gavroche.

narrows101, has Tom O'neil updated a new podcast where he talks about the movie? What about Tapley/Thompson?

Myself, I am looking forward to the inevitable Junior Vasquez remix album:

i'd love it if Samantha Barks ends up getting the nomination instead of hathaway

Won't happen. They might both be nominated (although Barks will have to be stunning to get nominated) but there's no way Hathaway won't be nominated, even if the movie tanks.

She's so cute! She's rockin the short hair

She is, but it's also growing out nicely and looking a much prettier length to what it was before.

i'd love it if Samantha Barks ends up getting the nomination instead of hathaway

Why would you love that? I think they'll want to honour Anne's performance for this movie.

I think from these 2 stills, you can tell who is the better actor... :funny:

@mrmichaelball
Just back from a screening of the Les Mis movie and not allowed to write about it, but you wait. It is bloody marvellous. More when I can!!

I like whatever she has at the time.

There is a very serious and thoughtful side to Anne and winning an Oscar would mean the world, being recognised and judged on her craft. She started acting age 14, and primarily does so because she loves it.
