Anyone who has HBO, they showed "first look" tonight at 9:30-9:45 - it will be airing at other times during the month (check the website). They showed quick clips of new scenes - One Day More, Master of the House, Empty Chairs and a few others. A lot of it was also the featurette.
Thanks for the heads-up! It hasn't aired yet on HBO West.

I missed it! :argh:

Checking for when it re-airs now.

So this movie's running time is over 2 hours long?

Reminds me not to drink anything before entering the cinema. I sure don't want to go for repeated toilet breaks while watching it in cinema.

I certainly don't want to miss the big French revolution clash and Jean ValJean's copter dropping in to disable a carriage

;)

have they said if they are leaving out any of the Broadway songs from the movie?

They are going to cut out On My Own just to see what a mass riot of teenaged girls and their "male best friends" looks like.

Les Miserables has won 21 awards, 8 of them are for Hathaway. That is more than one third...

I must say, I waited the casting of Fantine most, and when Hathaway was announced I was severely disappointed. I don't really know much about actors and actresses, "Hathaway", I thought, was a movie star such like Lindsay Lohan ... never-ever I would have dreamed that she might become the best part of the film, which is what Fantine should be (maybe I have that impression because Ruthie Henshall was the best of 10th anniversary concert).

But the thing I like about this cast is not just the talent, but they are so sympathetic. Anne Hathaway might be the only actress in Hollywood decent enough to play Fantine, and it is really important to me. Someone at the imdb suggested that Britney Spears should have played Fantine, which is of course absurd on every level, but just imagine her being all so "tragical" about selling sex while all her songs are about how much she wants to have group sex on the floor.

That is also the reason why I rejoiced when Samantha was announced, she just seems to be the nicest person ever ... Lea Michele would have handled the role, but I would have had hard times watching someone from Glee's moral universe playing Eponine. Yucki. It is disgrace they have done Les Mis songs in their show.

Behind-the-scenes clip with Colm Wilkinson. Both he and Hugh sing the Forbidden Broadway spoof of 'Bring Him Home'. :funny:

Um...are you going where it sounds like you're going with that comment about Glee?

I'd had liked her more than Michele, even if she can't sing. But Samantha really was the best choice. I think.

One Day More is online. Which I'm listening to, but not watching until I see the movie next week. That's my favorite song, dammit.

Yeah, I watched it, I'm not proud of myself, but I did. :( I wish they wouldn't put these things up, I can't be trusted, really.

Very impressed by Eddie Redmayne's singing. I think he should be Jesus in the upcoming Jesus Christ Superstar.

I already posted that, but I'll forgive you, because it still makes me grin like an idiot

I gave in and watched it too. I got no resistance left. And I think I have a growing crush on Eddie.
