I'm cool with musicals, just something about this one ain't hitting the spot. Maybe I'm just a heartless bastard.

It's an acquired taste. It's got some elements of an old-timey musical alongside some classical melodrama. It's like Oliver meets Wuthering Heights; if you tend to exclusively prefer edgier shows like Rent or Nine, then you might find Les Miz to be a bore.

That's probably what it is then. I liked Sweeny Todd and Chicago, even have enjoyed some of the old musicals like Singing in the Rain. This looks like a film I should want to see but something does seem a bit drab about it. I'll probably end up taking my mum to see it, this seems like her type of thing.

the only recent musical i enjoyed was moulin rouge. chicago put me to sleep. Hoping this is as good as being suggested

I understand jmc. This looks pretty meh, but my step-mom said that this used to be my favorite musical. Don't remember much about it though. On Christmas, I'll be busy seeing Django Unchained, but this might be something to check out later on.

Now there's an idea: Django Unchained as a musical, or any Tarantino film as a musical!

Omg, yes.

Why Do You Get To Cut the Fish?
Ballet of the House of Blue Leaves

Act Two
Let's All Have A Weddin'
Bill's Flute Solo
Here Lies Paula Schulz
The Ballad of Pai Mei
Superman Stands Alone
Finale: Five Points, One Heart

I hate to post on a thread and not contribute, but I have to say: Bravo, Pink Ranger. :woot:

Is it really, really bad that I am already automatically imagining the lyrics and melody of My Name Is Buck? :csad:

That looks very heated. Jealous of Hugh

Seriously, am I the only one uncomfortable with that photo? We're about to see them as father and daughter in a couple of weeks.

Maybe it would have been more disturbing if they were in costume. :(

I wonder how Deb feels about that. If I were married and my husband kissed another woman when not acting, even just a peck, I'd be pretty upset.

Good lord, I bet the only reason Hugh didn't jump out of a cake was because they couldn't find one tall enough for him.
:funny:

:awesome: YES.

He gives lapdances to anyone breathing, I think she's used to it. :funny: Plus with all the gay rumors, this just shows that Hugh is sexually open to anyone! :awesome:

Not if you were secure in yourself and in your marriage.

I've been browsing this thread for all my Les Mis information since it's first incarnation, so it's about time I actually make an account and post! Hello, all!

Oh, nice. I sometimes wonder what forum is this. I've never been on the front page :woot:.

I have two problems: Aaron Tveit is not credited for red&black, and "Do you hear..." is missing. But maybe it is included in the "epilogue".

^ Yes please. This is exactly what I want. Anne's 'I Dreamed a Dream' and 'At the end of the Day' will be mine!

I know its only a highlights album, but I'm surprised they didn't just go ahead and put ALL of Hathaway's numbers on it.

And why do I have a feeling this is going to be the only edition for awhile.
