For what it's worth, as I've stated already, this isn't the title that Norm intended to give this thread - our original one was just us talking, and was designed for people to rebut our theories, postulations and opinions.

Sadly, that thread was closed -- and people viewed it as us trying to elevate the importance of our opinions, which was never our intent. So we were told to re-do the thread with the current title, and explain (as Norm did, in the first post) that this is for everybody to post their thoughts in. Therefore we're not trying to elevate the importance of our own opinions at all.

You're right. I could have. I didn't. It would have been a pain in the ass to reestablish my cred here with people like you who don't know me and don't know who I am or what I stand for. You've pre-judged me already because I'm older than you, I've been here longer, and I'm more popular. None of which I have any control over.

I wasn't particularly surprised by this huge "spoiler" from the SHH! main page, but it was nice to hear what may be some real confirmation:

Thank you for illustrating why this thread does not function. As your response to my post indicates, it has encouraged no higher standard and, in many cases, will only encourage members to insult each other's intelligence.

As far as I'm concerned, even if he stops at 3, a Nolan Bat-trilogy would be a wonderful thing to have in my DVD collection.

So...I can't remember who did that last article/interview but I remember it saying Batman would be using more gadgets.

Anyone have any ideas or guesses what Batman might be using in this next film? I know he has the gauntlets that are supposed to be able to shoot and I'm sure he'll be using his grapple gun again.

Totally agreed. I know a lot of people are speculating that the pressure of this film combined with Heath's death may be wearing him thin when it comes to making a third film, but I don't believe that. Same goes for Bale.

They'll have a story to tell. They just like taking it one film at a time. I just can't wait to see what they do for it. They keep saying they want to outdo the previous film and TDK passes that with flying colors. But with the way it's shaping up to be, how would they EVER be able to trump it?

Only time will tell. Right now, we can concentrate on the genius that is going to be TDK.

Not at all. Besides you, the only respondent has said only that I've "failed epically." This is what I described: a person may come in here and make a nice post, but it will not stimulate any higher standard than it would anywhere else. People will still respond with gems like "Epic fail."

Yeah, there's that one and although he's already used batarangs in BB I want to see him use them to pin someone to a wall or object like in the comics or animated series. Where he gets it just right to hit their clothing but not literally stab their skin.

I also hope he uses some smoke bombs/black powder(as shown in BB) for an escape.

In BB, he used some explosive gadgets, Batarangs (??) and his grapple gun. I'm not sure what else he'll use.

Didn't someone say his new suiit would have sonar lenses or something?

I remember hearing that as well. I'm hoping Nolan is a man of his word and lets Batman do way more detective work in TDK.

I'm not sure what that apparatus is either, but it always reminded me of that "blocker thingy" that Bats uses in B89 when he's fighting the Ray Charles thug on top of the bell tower.

I'd have to say you're right. I can understand how working on this movie has been a traumatic experience, but if they love these characters and the work they've been doing, they'll continue it. Heath's death had nothing to do with TDK, it was a freak accident, and so it shouldn't effect it at all except insofar as seeing a friend and comrade go down is always painful.

I'd have to wonder about that as well. Honestly I've always thought the best aspect of a Two-Face story would be if Batman winds up having to protect somebody he normally would be fighting (like Joker or Maroni or somebody) from Two-Face, who wants to kill them. Two-Face who used to be Batman's ally.

I think that makes for an extremely powerful film if handled well, and is a natural progression, storywise, from where we are with TDK right now.

Only time will tell. Right now, we can concentrate on the genius that is going to be TDK.
