"... we told you so."
Anyone know how weed affects someone with bi-polar?
My brother is a pot head through and through. He smokes that oil stuff likely every weekend and I don't know the specifics of the oil, but I hear it can be some pretty heavy stuff. I have no problem with weed (except when he smokes it in the house because I hate the smell), I'm just curious if the chemicals affect his mental condition.
I'm having a hard time trying to figure out if his bi-polar becomes worse when he smokes or when he doesn't.
While some reports indicate that cannabis can lessen the severity of mania and depression symptoms, others indicate cannabis can trigger mania and has been noted to have "a detrimental and potentially causative role in the development of psychosis." [59][60] There remains credible reason to doubt the causative role however: it has been found that when psychosis preceding cannabis use is controlled for later psychosis becomes statistically insignificant.[61] This may be attributable to the role of CBD as an antipsychotic.[62][63][64][65]
However, a recent study noted neurocognitive functioning improved in bipolar patients who used cannabis.[66] The study added that further research was needed. Further research was performed reinforcing this finding for Bipolar Disorder.[67]
Stupid question: But is weed legal in DC. Or are they still debating it/going through legislation

Not a stupid question.
It's still up in the air.
Congress is trying to stop it and local DC politicians are trying to say congress doesn't have the right to stop it.
Cool thanks.
Any estimation on how long it might take to go through? I know it's hard to tell but IM just wondering what is the next big debate or whatever about it

Jamaica has a decriminalization bill coming up.
Should prove interesting. Weed is a sacred herb to the Rastafarian religion.
