Basically, I'm done with seeing old fart Lex and teen Lex [The Donner and Singer movies and Smallville, et al] on screen and given that I see Luthor being depicted almost like an 'evil Bruce Wayne' I'd prefer to see him portrayed by an actor who has a bit of vitality to him.

How about Christian Bale then?

Wahlberg hahahah. "Hey Superman! Stop doin' that OK? It's not cool alright Superman!? Say hi to ur motha for me!"

LOL

My name is Lex Luthor, and I believe in fitness. All this began because it was time to push myself harder, otherwise I was looking at another forty years wearing sweatpants to work...

Then you may Like the John Shea Lex of L&C. The show gets alot of flack from fanboys, but the first season actually wasnt that bad. Shea was great as the type of Lex you are talking about. Check out the clips and youll see...

I doubt he'll be doing anything comic book related ever again.

He must not have liked how Batman made him an A-lister and very rich. :cwink:

I think now that he has that status, he'll simply make the movies he feels passionate about and not worry too much about money or anything of that nature. But that's not to say that it wont be a comic book movie that he feels passionate about. Who knows, maybe someone like Nolan will get to direct a different comic book property down the line and Bale is up to go at it again.

Nolan will never direct another comic book movie again.

My dream casting for Lex:

Joaquin Phoenix
Leo Dicaprio

But I would be happy with McConaughey.

I think Bale should be a supporting actor, though in a Nolan-directed comic film.
That would be a nice switch-up.

You don't know that. This is the same guy that wants to do a James Bond movie, and is not at all against action movies. Seeing as how he'll get total control over whatever movie he decides to make, I don't see why it can't be a comic book movie.

I want Nolan to get off his high horse and allow a second unit to take over. Imagine BB with the Thousand Pounds action company doing the martial arts scenes :wow:

Not going to happen. :o

He would still be making more Batman films if that were the case. I see him making his own stuff and going after the Oscars.

Such a shame.

Can you imagine...

The closest I think he will come to doing a CB film is a Bond film.

Doing a Bond film at least once in his life is his destiny IMO.

I, for one, think Nolan SHOULD do a Bond film. I think it will have a convoluted plot, passable female characters and jarring action scenes-and get around a 9 on IMDB :D

But seriously, why not? Having him do Bond would keep things different and interesting, and I think his passion will really help move that project along. If he basically volunteers for it, maybe the Brocolli's will allow him to direct :007

He will do one he even said he want's to and the producers have said they'd love to work with him. My guess is he'll do the next one after Sam Mendes finishes off his second Bond movie.

If we're going by dream choices, I'd love to see this guy as a comic book villain. An intellectual villain like Luthor or Joker obviously. But the chances are next to impossible lol. Especially with co-stars like Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot.

Daniel Day Lewis would make an awesome Lex, but the chances of him being cast is so slim. Then again I could be wrong. Pheonix and DiCaprio are very promising though. Maybe even throw in Tom Hanks or Brad Pitt for that matter, which I kinda doubt that would happen, but you never know.
