Goode as Lex? Eh, can't really see it. If he was Brainiac, Metallo, or even Parasite, I could definitely see that. Always been a fan of his.

Me neither. I mean , I guess I could see him as more of a John Shea style Lex, but he wouldn't be my first choice by any means. Brainac would be more suitable
imo. If WB is going to him, something tells me they may have abandoned the whole "Lets get a big name" thing and have gotten serious about getting someone who can do it in time for filming.

Goode could make a great Lex. However, having seen The Lookout, I could also see him as a lowlife criminal type like John Corben too.

I'd like Goode as Lex. He's a very capable actor and to be honest I'd like to see a less known actor play him if they can't get Phoenix.

If I wasn't so stuck on someone like Phoenix for Lex, I might not be so opposed to Goode playing him. I liked Goode's evil performance in Stoker.

But he just doesn't do it for me now that I have Phoenix brain.

Goode is pretty fit. I don't think Hal needs to be huge, just fit (not long distance runner fit) and toned. He fit that pretty well in Watchmen. His naturally slim face give the illusion that he's a toothpick.

Matthew Goode was an actor I was long quite lukewarm on, but his performance in Stoker blew me away. I'd be happy if he ended up being Lex Luthor, even if he wouldn't necessarily be my first choice.
