Phenoix is still ideal in every sense of the word when it comes to the portrayal of Lex. Denzel, I get it. I really do and he would be amazing because come on...he's Denzel Washington. That said, I'd take Phenoix 100 times out of 100 for this role. He is simply perfection as to who and what Lex should be from a visual standpoint and has that certain look in his eye that would crush even the audience's soul when need be. Phenoix, in the end, may be TOO good to be true. We're talking a "RDJR" sized hit for WB here.

I'd be happy to take Phenoix as Lex or Denzel too being the open minded Superfan that I am. I just hope they are going to include Lex in some capacity as MOS was the perfect set-up what with how events transpired with the destruction of Metropolis being something Luthor would definitely play off to turn people against the supposed alien menace, the many references to Lexcorp (finally!! The Businessman Lex I've been waiting to see on the big screen!) and the possibility of him and Bruce sharing screen time is mouth watering. Would love if they take inspiration from "Lex Luthor: Man of Steel". Cant help but picture some of those scenes in the book acted out between Cavill, Phenoix and Affleck's Wayne having read it again recently, drools!!
