I just hope they book him well. I know he's pretty much changed his gimmick to seem more militant, but I can't wait to see SD become very European.

If the brand extension was still going on, WWE could of replaced the world heavyweight championship with the european championship and make it the #1 title on smackdown.

I don't buy that report on the yes chant at all. WWE is selling yes t-shirts and Bryan renamed his finsher the yes lock. I call BS.

Of course, such a rule would be impossible to enforce for the following reason:

"Stop chanting yes!"

"Yes!"

"Really, I mean it, stop it!"

"Yes!"

"Um, was that just you chanting 'yes!' or was it you agreeing with me to stop?"

"Yes!"

Tatanka
Shane McMahon
Sheamus
Kurt Angle
Yokozuna
The Giant in WCW
Albert Del Rio
Goldberg
The Undertaker
Brock Lesnar

I agree with most of the list. Angle and Yokozuna need to be further up the list. You could say Sheamus and Del Rio's pushes might of been detrimental though.

Ditto. As far as kayfabe accomplisments or winning streaks all of those guys had great rookie years but the actual quality of their work, the material they were given, and the reception from the audience varied from incredible to terrible.

Looking at the whole picture Brock probably had the best rookie year.

How is Bo Rotundo? The live match I saw wiht him and Ambrose he come of really well. Thats the only match I've seen of his, though. Any recommended match viewings?

Bo Rotundo vs Leo Kruger: [YT]zdT3QtVjRsw[/YT] Bo Rotundo vs Damien Sandow: [YT]LkTyEOU2U3w[/YT] Bo Rotundo vs Johnny Curtis: [YT]oFui5rDLYjU[/YT]

I just watched The Soup and Daniel Bryan had the clip of the week. They played the clip from RAW with him and Kofi and AJ.Joel Mchale also did a YES chant.

So unless there's more to come from the Foley/Ambrose I'm going to be really annoyed that it just ends like that. I don't like the idea of starting something potentially huge without having at least a groundwork set up for it.

If Ambrose was stupid enough to ignore the request of a legend doing him the favour then he'd be an idiot, but I'm pretty sure it's still a work, it's just Foley is doing a worked shoot within a worked shoot, kinda like the wrestling version of Inception.

Agreed, WWE are doing everything to encourage it and are smart enough to know that trying to control it would serve the opposite purpose, so maybe they did request it in hope that fans would be fans ands rebel by chanting it, good old reverse psychology. :D

Thank you, I'll give these a watch tonight :)

I took a look at that Brodie vs Cesaro cage match and it was impressive, they looked to put on a good show without anything stupidly risky or buckets of blood. Cesaro has incredible core strength and Brodie can really move for a big, ungainly looking guy.

WWE could do a lot worse than to use this video to promote Ambrose.

Well, they were trying to fight it off by editing in boos for Bryan on Smackdown for awhile, but like taking down WWE Matches and Segments on YouTube, realized they were in a losing battle so I think they finally gave in. Whether they do a double turn with Sheamus and Bryan though is a whole another story.

they don't have to double turn them, sheamus could lose "get fired" and Bryan feuds with Del Rio who is still owed a title shot.

- As we have noted, Brock Lesnar negotiated a unique contract for his WWE return as he will be allowed to wear sponsors on his trunks and the t-shirts he wears each week. A source reports that Lesnar insisted this be part of the deal. He is the first performer Vince McMahon has ever allowed contractually to do so.

- It's said that with the success of WrestleMania 28 coming out this past week, the chances of a rematch between John Cena and The Rock at WrestleMania 29 have increased. As of this week, WrestleMania 29 is scheduled to be headlined by The Rock vs. either Cena or Brock Lesnar.

Several factors will play into that decision, mainly where Lesnar stands at the end of this year, if he's better for business over Cena and more. WWE officials are reportedly unsure of Lesnar's future and how hot he will be come next January. While they originally wanted to have the WrestleMania 29 main event announced by now, word now is that it won't be decided on until around November of this year.

- Tyler Reks, who was fired on NXT by William Regal, wrote the following on Twitter this morning:

"Finishing out our contractual obligations on the Smackdown Euro Tour. Considering shaving my head when this is all over & starting fresh."

A fan asked if Reks was really leaving WWE and he replied with the following, mentioning John Laurinaitis: "Unless by some miracle, @WWERawGm decides otherwise..."

- The March 19th RAW Supershow had 384,000 homes watching on tape delay or DVR, which is 11.1% of the total viewership. The go-home WrestleMania 28 RAW on March 26th had 367,000 homes or 10.8% watching on tape delay.

- Fit Finlay has been in talks with WWE about returning but he's currently working with Tajiri to help set up his new company over in Japan, as well as still working independent dates. No word yet where his talks with WWE stand but helping Tajiri is his main priority. Finlay is also still taking future independent dates so it appears a deal with WWE is not in place yet.

Is the whole match online? I'd like to give it a look.

It's cool they show wwe clips every so often. Also this "Yes" chant is really taking off and if fans are being asked to stop it's only going to get worse lol.

I think with Rock vs Brock for the WWE title they are basically sending the wrong message. It's saying the current generation doesn't stack up to the legends.

Edge not being locked in a contract might have to do with travel issues.

I'm glad for Jericho's success outside wrestling. I hope he does come back next year though. Maybe do a retirement match or challenge the streak.

Taglines are just a part of the business. They sell tickets. I don't mind WWE going back on their word because they've lied to their audiences countless times.

For example, somebody asked Jim Ross on the meaning of "The End Of An Era" and his opinion / answer was that "it would be the last time you would see Undertaker, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels in the ring together."

If they want to have their cake and eat it too, John and Rock can have their rematch at any of the other PPVs so that the "Once In A Lifetime" deal stays intact as that first match only took place at Wrestlemania where it will be the most remembered for years and years to come.

As for Wrestlemania 29, I'm far more interested in a Rock Vs. Lesnar rematch than a Rock Vs. Cena rematch. Not only is Lesnar a bigger star, he's a much better worker than Cena.

Re: Alberto Del Rio

I like ADR. He's a great in-ring worker, but unfortunately his mic skills not so much because his English isn't very good (being a foreigner I can totally understand though) and he can't connect with audience so its really frustrating for me because I want him to succeed. I hope he gets drafted to Smackdown because I think fresh feuds against the likes of Sheamus and Orton will do him some good.

I think we should hold off on calling Lesnar a great worker until we see him in action again. I expected the Rock to be great at Wrestlemania 28 based on he was 8 years ago, and well...he wasn't, IMO.

Brock was great before, and I was a huge fan of his work. But it's been 8 years, he's had an illness, plus he's 30 pounds lighter than he was before. I'm optimistic of course, but cautious.

I don't want to see Rock/Cena again, at least not at Wrestlemania.

If they have to do Rock vs Brock, I hope they have Cena vs Punk planned. Along with that, Undertaker vs Ziggler, or someone who's a rising star who could look good going toe to toe with Taker.

Did they really bleep out "Bischoff" on Impact? :lmao:

It's so weird to hear Flair compliment Bischoff considering their past issues in real life.

Vince is showing his desperation. Top guys usually never see him bend over like that. It would have been blood in the water in the past.

Rock vs Brock for the title? Really? Whats the point? Both guys may well be gone 2 days later. They don't need a belt too make this big time. If this match must happen it doesn't need a title nor does it need to be the main event. Its not like they've never wrestled before. Between Rock being 40, heavier, and holding back because he doesn't want to show up on set hurt and Lesnar going through serious health issues I'm not expecting a five star classic. Brock was a great athlete but Cena is a better worker and even he couldn't pull off a mind blowingly amazing match with Rock.

Punk and/or Cena should be fighting in the main event for the title.

Its not like Edge is going anywhere else (as a wrestler or not) so WWE probably feels safe letting his contract expire and maybe thats what he wants too. Edge sounds like he's no that interested in making a lot of regular appearances right now. Maybe he wants to step away from the wrestling world for a while. He seems at peace with living a normal like and not having to be "on" as Edge all the time anymore. Look at the new haircut. If he does come back it could be a per appearance deal or he could eventually sign a legends type contract.

Austin was a bigger star and Michaels is arguably more beloved by more older fans (and Vince...and HHH) so thats why they have contracts. They probably want them themselves to keep making money off merchandise too.

What a crap ending to Angle/AJ. :csad:

Vince is showing his desperation. Top guys usually never see him bend over like that. It would have been blood in the water in the past.

Well, remember that CM Punk does have Cult of Personality as his ring entrance theme. Vince is starting to show some slack when it comes to the guys he thinks are valuable.

Certainly one sign of Vince being willing to bend to accomodate a star but what he's doing for Brock is even more surprising. Usually when someone signs with him they promote WWE not something else.

Every once in a while he does something unusual like that but its pretty rare. Like having Flair be dubbed "The Real (NWA) Worlds champion" or acknowledging Adonis and Ventura as former AWA tag team champions in WWF, or promoting Foleys Countdown to Lockdown book on Raw
