The scheduled WWE Raw brand house show event for 5/24 in Rio de Janeiro has been removed from the WWE schedule. No word at this time as to why it has been removed.

Would not surprise me if it was due to poor ticket sales.

-Sean Hayes, who plays Larry in The Three Stooges, appeared on Conan this week where he said he was embarrassed to be on the program. He added that he would never attend a WWE event.

He should've been ashamed of how unfunny and wack he was. Santino was funnier than him.

That actually sounds pretty good, lol...

Just out of curiousity, Shawn's theme is sung by himself right?

The second theme is. The first theme the vocals were done by Sensational Sherri

EDGE-WWE CORRECTION AND UPDATES
by Mike Johnson @ 4:06 PM on 4/20/2012

In a correction from yesterday, I am told Edge's WWE contract expires at the end of this month, not 5/1.

WWE sources noted today that renewed attempts to sign him to a new deal are underway and that the company was not happy that it was publicly revealed he's close to exiting.
One source believed the contractual issue was financial and that the company may have "underestimated" that Edge would simply sign whatever was offered to him.
In regard to reader queries and in some cases, assumptions, that Edge would simply sign a "Legends" deal, that's not exactly what is happening here. The company is looking to sign him to a new full fledged deal that would require him to go through their offices for any outside deals, similar to the big money deals Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley have. The Legends deals are more along the lines of the talent simply licensing WWE to use their name and likeness. Edge's potential deal would put him squarely back under WWE's control like any other performer. Edge's "Haven" deal is something that was booked outside of WWE's auspices and would not be affected by his departure from the WWE umbrella.

TNA star James Storm announced last night that he will be taking time away from the ring, including live events. Storm cut a promo on last night's Impact Wrestling about having his luck run out, and followed that up with this tweet, "Emotional time in my life after Lockdown. Need time to think about what I need to do and will not be making live events. I apologize."

Shore's Slant: Word is this is an opportunity for Storm to fully heal from several nagging injuries. No word on how long he will be out, but I would guess several weeks.

Due to some viewers experiencing technical difficulties during last night's Impact Wrestling, Spike TV has decided to re-air the episode next Thursday at 6:00 p.m. CT before the new episode of Impact Wrestling airs at 8:00 p.m. CT. TNA star Kazarian unveiled a new short haircut at Sunday's Lockdown PPV. The Miami Herald reports Kaz donated his hair to the Locks of Love charity. Locks of Love uses donated hair to make wigs for cancer patients. You can read the full story at http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/04/19/2758461/tnas-kaz-donates-hair-to-locks.html.

- As noted before, Terry Taylor is being brought back by WWE for a new developmental job near WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT. The proposed role for Taylor is heading up something of a "finishing school" - a place where the top guys in FCW will be coached by him more individually before going to the main roster. The plan is to take around 10 or so of the best guys in developmental, the ones closest to being called up, and give them to Taylor for new ideas before their debut.

How does a finishing school work? Like FCW or Tough Enough?

Is there even a feud yet? Punk seems to be making all the advances, while Austin seems to be shying away from them.

Not really. I was just throwing it out there because with the Foley/Ambrose thing I don't even know what's a work and what's a shoot any more.

Actor Sean Hayes, who appears as Larry in the new Three Stooges film, was on Conan on TBS promoting the film and when his appearance in character on WWE’s Raw was brought up, he commented that he was immediately booed. He referred to the female wrestling as “hilarious” and sarcastically referred to it as “quality television.”

In response, WWE champion CM Punk wrote on Twitter, “Holy crap, so the *****e who’s playing Larry in the stooges movie says he was embarrassed to be on raw? But he’s in the stooges movie?!!??”

WWE television has been crap for awhile so Larry has a point

- WWE Studios is co-financing a new film with IM Global. Deadline reports that the studio is partnering on Dead Man Down, which begins filming this week in Philadelphia.

The film stars Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace, Terrence Howard and Dominic Cooper and is about the right hand man of a crimelord who is seduced by a past victim. Niels Arden Oplev (the Swedish Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) will direct.

Caught up on Impact and SD, I thought Impact was ok, the Aries/Morgan vs Bully/Crimson match was solid as was the knockouts tag. Roode's mic work was top drawer as usual even though I think he should have kept his look. James Storm's promo was fantastic, he had the crowd in the palm of his hand.

AJ vs Angle was a let down and it looked like they may be turning Angle face which makes about 50 different turns for Angle since he got to TNA. I'm also sick of AJ being wasted on Kaz and roboto. I skimmed the main event, I didn't want to see any of the 3 guys face Roode and why is Anderson wrestling in his shirt? moob issues?

SD was good, Bryan's opening promo was great and the dynamic with AJ is very well played by both. AJ snapping on Nattie was an interesting development. I like Ryback, he's what a power guy should be, it was also good to see more of Sandow and Cesaro's debut. I thought Show vs Del Rio was really good with some smart offence from Del Rio and great selling from Show.

The six man main event was superb and given a lot of time for everyone to shine, but none more so than Mark Henry who bumped like a trooper and sold that RKO better than guys half his size.

Might be a good movie for them to back.

Sting vs Hogan at Starrcade 97 wasn't a bad match but between Stings rust and Hogans bad wheel it didn't live up to the hype either. But the thing that really blighted it was the screwy finish with the messed up 3 count. If the finish had gone off properly and Sting had a proper reign going forward I think people would remember the match more fondly.

When you look at the NWO vs WCW angle Hogan did his usual, he refused to lose the title to Piper and jobbed in a non title match, yes a non title match at Starrcade! and even won the rematch, and then when it came time he screwed Sting, killing his momentum. The guy he jobbed clean to? Lex Luger, no threat.

In contrast Savage not only put DDP over clean but he jobbed to his finisher in their first match at Spring Stampede 97, this match put DDP on the map, Savage won the second match through Hall and lost the blow-off. Exactly how a face/heel feud is worked.

Is there even a feud yet? Punk seems to be making all the advances, while Austin seems to be shying away from them.

It's hard to tell because I don't really get Austin's comment, but if I were Punk I'd be careful what I wished for.
